+4 Internets | Seconded. I still cant believe I cant do some kind of /who. Cant see who is in my guild. Cant do much of anything, or if I can it's not very apparent how. The UI in this game is atrocious. Still having fun though, even though I get owned in PvP as a Conq by pretty much everyone. Mostly Barbs and Rangers. |

+24 Internets | If all you cuold do was /who heals and it would say "Priest of Mitra, level 80, online" then I don't think that would really impact PVP. Anyone who is a threat to me knows I am 80 and am a PoM, and you can easily see if I'm online. Now if you did a /who PRX-CQ and could see the entire list of the players we had online, that'd impact PVP because you could easily scout their power at the moment.

+24 Internets | The first siege in the world AFAIK happened this morning. The game set the time at 6am EST and no one could change it. I was on the defensive side, it was pretty fun overall. I'll post SS's of it later. The game was fairly laggy but still playable. Not too many people crashing (no sb.exe thank God). Melee weren't that useful as people were running around. The trebuchets and ballistas don't work, and the walls have lots of holes in them. You can't effectively stand on the wall and shoot your attackers, so basically walls serve as nothing more than a speedbump to an enemy raid because they can simply knock them down unharrased unless you move your enemy force outside the walls to attack. The game works like a ticket system like in Battlefield and othre games, where you get points for holding buildings, destroying buildings and killing opposing players. I don't know what function the siege tents served. Overall it was a pretty epic battle that we won like 800 to 50.

| @ 56 I have a shit load of quests in the mountains still to do. How can you be out of options already? Especially if you grinded the previous levels. I haven't grinded more than half a level since entering EM. |

| LOL ran across this post on the AoC forums from the LotD GL. Few things left out about the so called "Siege" Worlds First - Page 5 - Age of Conan Forums Quote:

| I made it to the mid 40s but I have now canceled my account. I won't be paying a subscription for this game. I had fun for a while but I lost motivation to keep grinding (I consider the quests grinding) Ran instances with groups for a while too but the variety of places to group seemed limited so that got old after a while too. There is a lot I could go on about that I think needs improvement but I won't waste my time here going into more detail. I got my moneys worth for the time I put into the game I think. |

+4 Internets | Agreed. The "search for group" functionality, and the friends list work fine. I don't even know what people are looking for in a /who command.

| sometimes its nice to /who someone so you can see what guild or zone they are in. of course in a pvp game that makes absolutely no sense so its ok that funcom took it out, but sometimes when you get a tell to group or if your not guilded its nice to see who is talking to you. I don't think there is any way to tell what guild someone is in except to run by them, the friends window (shift-F) does not show that info. the next patch removes the ability to apprentice someone more than 20 levels (if your 80 and your friend is 20 I think it'll max him at 40 or 60), so get your PLing in now. Currently people are hitting 80 in under 30 hours by just AOE grinding (apprenticed) in Keshetta with a bunch of POM/TOS/Necros, which is absolutely ridiculous since it'll take 20x longer if you try to do the the "regular" way. The worse thing is that it becomes easy for a large guild just to powerlevel everyone in the guild this way, and completely own all the camps in kesh while leveling hundreds of people to 80 in a week. One thing thats really bad in AoC is the differential between people who "know the game" and those who don't. WoW had a similar problem early on, raiding gear was so far above everything else. AoC is 10x worse; those who can figure out all the tricks (PLing, resource zone farming, keeps, epic zone farming for blues, raid zerging, etc, etc, etc) are soooooo far ahead of the "normal" guilds in terms of levels, gold, resources, keeps, tradeskills, etc etc its just crazy how big a difference it'll be when the game finally gets endgame fixed up. |
