I guess i should recheck out Ghelid. Before when we had the mana issues it was utterly not worth the mana cost but now I have trouble running out of mana. Still without the talented snare i cant see much use altho i like the short cast time for pvp.

Nothing in this entire game post-40 (and many things otherwise) was tested at all prior to release. Have you read this thread at all?

At least the game is gorgeous and fun to crank up the graphics settings and wander the world after you hit 80. Guild cities and the RP setting are definitely the biggest draw for me, although the PvP is pretty fun (but my ToS is certainly overpowered and anybody above saying otherwise either has talents that don't work - like half of them - is a newbie, or is lying).

ummm...do HoX's get a stun or knock down? My friends 50 doesn't have one at any rate.

And Guardians shouldn't be able to do that anymore.

Yes HoX's get a AE stun. It happens (with feats) when they turn into a demon.

Note I said Guardians after the Overreach nerf still can. Just not with Overreach, it's called Stunning Charge + Flashing Arc IX.

HoX can feat a stun that triggers when they turn into a demon, guaranteed kill on a ToS/PoM/whatever if the stun goes off.

At 80 I can hardly one round people anymore without burning every single cooldown, and even then it's not a 100% one hit. Only classes I one hit reliably are demos and necros(when I can actually hit necros instead of being feared/looking for them). I can hit them quite fucking hard, but it's definitely not a one hit. I also don't spec for the stun so I can get purge and avatar, which imo is a better rounded spec than taking shit feats in possession to get an AE stun that breaks on your own pulsing fire damage once you're morphed. Aside from that, I haven't been taken under 50% in one combo by any guardian, frenzy or not, since they nerfed overreach. They can take me to like, 40% with TWO combos, at which point they die anyway since they're sitting in frenzy and my burn to death is ticking for 850 or some retarded amount like that. I don't see how they can kill anyone that has better armor and a shield in one hit when they can't even scratch me.

Barbarians I won't comment, cyclone of steel is a one shot for pretty much everyone. Assuming I have contract of protection up, and a tos/pom hp buff, I might survive with like 100-300hps left(maybe 1k if I'm in avatar), but they can finish me on the next round of directional attacks due to high autoattack dmg with DW. If they're using a 2h, they'll die easily though. Funny how barbarians changed from annoying CC to instant kills with no CC at 80 ^^.

Which side does cyclone of steel hit ? maybe adjust your shields to that side if you know you are going to face one.

Scorp Oil, Scorp Venom, and Yeti Bile are nowhere to be found. I have done all the daily instances and killed every yeti in the gave many many times. The shit does not exist. If you have seen these please let me know. I don't know anyone who has.

Seriously, did Funcom learn anything from AO other than "Make sure your servers don't melt on launch day" ?

Players will always finish content faster than the designers think.
Players will always figure out when mechanics are broken, and how to use that brokenness to their own advantage.

This is the sort of fundamental stuff similar to "The client is in the hands of the enemy" and so on that should be engraved into ten foot tall gold tablets at every MMOG designer in the entire world.

Umm, feel a bit retarded asking this, but has anyone managed to increase the mouse speed? It's too slow for my taste but I can't seem to find a godamn option for that anywhere.

I don't know enough about HoX to comment, but the only time I have died to one is when they feated the stun on Demon form, and then landed a combo. I forget what the combo is right now but I have quite a few screenshots/logs of it. If the HoX doesn't do this combo, I can always emergency heal as soon as the stun fades and then proceed to probably win.

Guardians can 1-shot me at with Stunning Charge + Flashing Arc IX 100% of the time. The minimum damage it outputs on me is 4500, which is way over my HP.
