You should reroll on the principle of the level 80 DT armor alone. It has a bare midriff, I kid you not.

PvP consequences – the fugitive system

No longer will evil misdeeds go unpunished. Of course, Hyboria is ruthless and barbaric so don’t expect anyone to deal out justice just because someone smacks you about with a very heavy axe, but some justice is actually now being introduced to the world.

This is where the fugitive system comes in, presented in a set of colors defining your fugitive status – from blue to orange and eventually the deadly red.

Everyone is by default classified as “blue”, but your actions as a player killer will affect your fugitive rating. If you kill someone way under your level, you will notice that you will very quickly move to red. So will actions such as killing someone repeatedly, or other general unfairness. The more serious the crime, the quicker you rise in fugitive.

Obtaining red status will be quite painful to you. This means that other players can kill you without rising in fugitive level, and if they manage to kill you while you have red fugitive you will actually drop one of your better items and gold that they can loot!

Of course, turning red will be a double-edged sword. Sure, it will get you a lot of attention and many will probably see you as a danger to be avoided. But at the same time, people will hunt you down for your items and your gold so be very, very careful!

Other changes you will observe are for instance improvements to the “charge” ability that all soldier classes have. If you charge someone you will stun them, making it much more useful. Casters will also see major improvements, so keep your eyes out for more news!

1. Not enough details on the stuff to really be useful. Most of this is stuff we already know.

2. I don't like that you can't kill another play repeatedly without fear of reprisal. The only way to really 'kill' someone in this game is to kill them, then have people at the rez points to kill them again and again until they leave.

3. No details about how PVP leveling is done is disconcerting. I am afraid they'll turn the PVP reward system into a system that favors non-factor playing rather than guild warfare and territory control. Wars aren't won by people running around PKing each other, they're won by fighting battles.

4. No mention of borderlands, sieges etc. I was really hoping they'd talk of implementing 'gold mines' you can control through PVP and $$$ investment and have auto-collection of Tier 3 resources into a guild bank, rather than manually farming them.

5. Powerpoints seems to be a relatively fresh token idea I haven't seen put into a game before at the scale they're thinking. What I'm thinking of how they'll implement it is that an endgame PVE boss will drop 24 power points, and every 24 hours a battlekeep being held will give the guild 24 power points. Getting a new PVP level will give a powerpoint and completing an epic quest will give a power point.

If they make holding resources a viable way to get powerpoints, and make all the best gear attainable through this token system then I think it'll work well. If they make it so you need to solo farm forever or raid end-game PVE mobs to gain powerpoints at a decent level then I won't like it.

They need some way to get some pvp going on the PVE servers. My guild is a more pvp oriented guild that rolled PVE because the draw was the battlekeeps and massive pvp, not gankfests. As it is right now there basically is no pvp on our server, even the minigames have a tough time filling up.

Surprise, surprise! Rolling on a carebear server means there's not much PVP!

Reroll deathwhisper if you want to PVP, but don't blame anyone but yourselves for not seeing much PVP on a PVE server.
