No, McQuade isn't working on the game, he's just comparing the two management styles I suppose.

| Heh, been in the same boat. I am currently going back and forth between HoX and Ranger and I am still not sure which I plan to stick with as my main. I think I am leaning more towards HoX just because the play style is different and the Ranger can get pretty boring while PVEing. If you want a class is can be challenging, but rewarding when done right I would suggest the HoX. If played well they can be monsters, but it seems pretty easy to suck at one as well. |

| I wouldn't avoid them just because they are OP. They are due for some nerfs no doubt but the classes themselves are pretty fun (I got a pom to the 30s) not just the OP part. Take away their insane AE abilities and you still have a fun class. Just not a demi god ![]() |

| Maybe someone can help me out with this: I used waypoints to mark all the ressource nodes I can find, then yesterday after logging in, for a short time (like until I died on purpose to shortcut travel) I saw ressource nodes on my zone map with colors and exact descriptions. I found no zonemap related options, are they hidden somewhere ?, have some people no problem with this and see those ressource symbols on their map all the time ? BTW: I dont feel ToS is OP at all, at least not in the first 40 levels, PvE wise my guardian is miles ahead and for PvP well having a tiny amount of hp is not exactly helpful. (I tend to run around solo, there lies the problem ? maybe someone can explain the OPness of ToS, cause I sure as hell get beat down extremely fast Last edited by Clericnon2boxed : 06-08-2008 at 03:11 AM. |

In PvP, don't expect anything too different, they are fairly balanced as is, and people just don't understand what a ToS does, and don't understand how easily 4 of the classes can one-round the ToS.

+9 Internets | I don't know much about ToS, except what I have read, but I know the PoM and Demo quite well. PoM pushes out as much DPS as a Demonologist (the 'Wizard' class). On top of that : i) they get to wear light armour vrs cloth; ii) one of their HoTs procs every time they get hit and the other procs an AE DoT - so within a couple of seconds of their cast cycle they have their two main healing spells cast on themselves without losing any DPS; iii) they get AE knockback and stun; iv) they get an Invuln spell; v) one of their main DD spells procs an AE heal; vi) feats that considerably increase their crit chance and other feats that considerably increase the crit damage; vii) they get enemy melee and resist debuffs. Theres more, but the bottom line is they are seriously OP and everyone knows it. Putting out as much spell DPS as the main spell dd class, who have nothing else to offer in PvP or PvE, is just nuts. As I said, I don't know much at all about ToS but PoM wants hitting hard with the nerf bat. |

Demos can get a 13-second CC that deals 250 dmg/tick. Demos can feat a damage shield that absorbs damage, ~100 per hit, up to 1500+ damage (forget L80 numbers, so these are L60-70 numbers). Things aren't as bad as you think, the closer to 80 you are.

+4 Internets | This game makes me feel like a total newb. I'm sure there are ways to do all the things I want but it's like pulling teeth to find them all. So here's my newb questions: 1. How do I get more inventory space? Are there banks other than the trader? Is there a vendor to buy bags? I tried looking on the trader but didnt see anything. Are there even more bag slots? I'm forever destroying things and running my ass to the nearest trader. 2. Food and drink. Ok so food I get, I see a nice little buff icon and the food has stats listed on it usually. Yay. Drink though I cant seem to figure out. Things like Feywater I drink and seems like nothing happens. Then I'll eat a grapefruit and I get the little green buff thing. I'm playing a Conq if that's relevant, no mana bar. Am I meant to keep up food/drink buffs? 3. The zones seem so disjointed to me. Is there a preferred spot to bind that's fairly centrally located? Not that I even know how to bind ... |
