| I remember that was a problem which plagued AO for its entire lifespan. There was a a handful of useful items for the level ranges, but aside that, 99% of shit which dropped from bosses and mobs was crap which was 10s of thousands of items. Even through the expansions like Shadowlands and AI, all classes got like one uber weapon to use and thats it. One good SMG, one good rifle, one good soldier machine gun... I just hope they do a better job in this game as far as itemization goes. so far its been crappy.

+1 Internets | What drives me up the wall about this game is the community when it comes to grouping. I rolled a ToS and got him to 51 after leveling a Conqueror to 45 and a Guardian to 72. Trying to get people to group the fuck up in this game is like telling a Catholic priest to stop touching little boys. I can't count the number of times I've seen a group only mob and someone will single rush it then die, I'll ask if they want to group up and they'll say they'll come back in a few levels. The irony is some of these people I tried to reason with after they died a few times trying to solo epic mobs said they don't like to do PUGs because everyone else is an idiot. |

I used to pug a lot, and they weren't as bad as the forums made them out to be. (to the point of denying pugs completely)

| People seem to avoid Guardians. I'm getting by alright on my Barbarian solo.

| Well, if anyone would like to form a group with me and run through quests, I'm up for it. I play a ToS on Deathwhisper... I'm 31 or 32 right now. I *think* I am all done with Khopshef, except the pyramid quests and kill Ramuses. Wouldn't mind heading to Cimmeria and doing all the quests I missed over there (awesome valley zone). Just send me a PM if you are interested. I won't be playing much until next week, and then only in the late evenings. |

+24 Internets | CAn't say I paid a whole lot of attention to prices recently, so maybe it's always been the case. I went to sell vendor crap today, and becauseo f the shoddy Auction system I haven't used it much,so even green Items I'll vendor. I swear these things had some kind of Value but when I went to the vendor today anything I had that was green, or was food ,was only worth 1 tin to the the vendor. All my grey crap was worth decent coin, relative to it's level but anything that might be useful to another player was basically worthless. Was it always like this? Like I said I never pay much attention to the value just spam sell, but 1 tin? 99% of the green items are pure shit, the AH takes a cut as it is ,who is going to buy this crap? Also mean you can't buy peoples items and just vendor them because they were listed to low. But all this does is encourages people to use the AH for everything they have that is green, which would be fine if the AH actually listed every item of a particular type for sale, and why can't I sort by Quality? If I select one hand edged who knows where it polls from. The only one hand sword I remembered the name of was blue sword that had Keen in it's name that was lvl 31. So I searched 1 handed swords that were level 30-32. That sword didn't come up. Then I added in price anything 4s up and it still doesn't show. But if I type the name in I get 40 of them on the AH. Not that I actually wanted one it's just the point that the AH just doesn't work. It's nice that it shows you the stack for items and you can get some great deals because people see one up for 5c or whatever and list their 20 for 5c obviously assuming that they will sell for 5c X 20 but really it just sells 20 for 5c~..... I understand games have bugs, and what not, this game though has bugs that are dumbfounding, how did the AH exist in Beta like this? Without people complaining? Like some of the bugs are just asinine and I wonder what the hell the beta testers were testing or is Funcom just that inept? |

| So I'm 33 on my HoX. Too low for the Black Temple, but seemingly too high for the rest of the zone (Khopshef Province). Anyone have a suggestion on what it is that I should be doing? Maybe group up and grind elite bandits 'till 35? Btw, if anyone wants to group on Set, send a tell to Akana.

+24 Internets | If people are leveling new and still in Tort I suggest going from whatever newbie area you start in to Conall's Valley. It's an amazing amazing amazing zone. More importantly you will easily go from 20 to 32 or so without ever leaving, then go from there to Wildlands of Zeta or whatever and do quests there, talk to the NPC's in town and bang out some of the grey quests, they take a brief period of time and you still get full quest XP. Plus do the 30's quests there. That'll take you to close to 40,where you can hit Sanctum if you want,or head over to Khopshef and do the Temple/Pyramid instances solo , you'll be a couple levels past the mobs so the XP will be quick and easy. Then head to fields/Noble district and do what quests you can that are not bugged and what not, this will take you to 50 or so assuming you are level 43 or so when you start on them. After that you basically have the one zone choice for the particular levels. If you start Khop/Wild lands at 20 it'll kind of fuck that all up since Conall's will be totally grey by the time you are mostly done in the other 2 zones and it won't e worth doing the quests there anymore, and it'll slow down the 30's and probably force you into Noble and what not early which will start your grind earlier. |

On my alt just doing normal questing I made it to 32 after finishing it. Not sure if I will go to Wildlands now or just grind until I can do pyramid/treasury grinding. Or just quit until 'this summer' when they alleviate the grind some.

Either way, classes will be balanced heavily in the next few months. It's unfortunate, but this is how MMOs are. Every MMO was like this at the start with insane imbalances and seemingly obvious flaws.
