No idea why they would take so long for NA release when an english translation is already available | |

+10 Internets | This is exactly my way of thinking. I've watched live streams of people in the Korean beta and it looked great. Now after playing the game myself months later I cannot understand why its Q4 for the NA release. |

| They probably are waiting for the endgame content, before the last patch, level 40+ was pretty grindy, right now there are quests everywhere. Also the voiceovers and what not, dunno in China, but in Korea, every NPC talks when you click on them, and 90% of them have original sentences. And I hope they are building a web plattform as the korean one, it's friggin awesome too, the powerbook (wiki) in their korean official site has an incredible ammount of information. |

| Thanks to all of the posters here on getting into this OB. I had the whole thing DL'd (many thanks to the Comcast peer I hit in Indiana, who had a huge upload speed for me), but since I heard the OB is done next week, decided not to engage in the brain squeezer of "what to delete off the 150gb Raptor" once again to fit this on (that 25gb of Oblivion shit is going to have to go some day). Anyways, since many of you have played, we get to now ask questions. I've watched tons of Aion vids, but wasn't able to divulge some of what I'm curious about. I prefer to ask about the good and bad shit in other MMORPGS that we either love or that really fucking piss us off, like: 1) Does it have a "Dazed" effect in any way whatsoever? I still classify this as one of the biggest "We Hate Our Customers" asshole game design moves of all time (thanks, Mister Chief Creative Officer, Blizzard, you fucking douchebag). 2) Does it have "just_a_little_too_steep_to_climb_terrain-AND_HEY!_let's_be_super_giganto_faggot_devs_and_ put_mining/herb/whatever_nodes_up_on_this_knoll_that_is_stupidly_h ard_to_find_the_only_climbable_path) bullshit? I regard this type of stuff as key in determining the maturity level of the dev team. If a producer lets the dev kiddies get away with shit that is just plain annoying, it says a lot. 3) Does it have custom chat channels that are actually functional and useful? 4) How does hotkeying/combat work? Is it global cooldown annoying shit like WoW, queued like EQ2, just plain amateurish like LotRO? 5) Have they said anything about having RP servers for NA release (and yeah, spare me the "lolrp" horseshit - I don't give a fuck about your opinions)? 6) Is it a generally seamless world like WoW, or instanced like crazy all over the place? 7) Any big, non-instanced PvE dungeons (we can all dream of "Guk 2.0"). 8) Is 80% of the population in OB playing Clerics, since I read that they "pwn all" in PvP? 9) Has anybody seen forums with some real developer interaction? Are they total retard dickheads like Mythic, un-engaged like SoE, or talkative - yet mostly clueless - like Blizzard? 10) How about those quests? 80% "collect me some bear asses"? 60%? Actually creative (compare to the pretty damn good WotLK questing)? Thanks much for any answers. We're all bored as hell with WoW/etc., I think, so pretty hopeful about Aion. |

| 1) No daze, mobs will simply chase. They also have a Metal Gear Solid style radius in which they'll spot you, even making the "ding" noise with an exclamation mark over their heads. 2) The terrain is quite annoying in that you can't climb a lot of things, no nodes on it though. 3) Haven't messed with channels, though it seems like there is. 4) You can hot key all your skills, no GCD... some skills have a 0.5 cooldown though (I do have skills with zero cooldown and can just be used rapidly). 5) No idea. 6) Instanced, sort of. Each zone has 1-6 different "channels" (except the main city) to prevent too many players camping mobs. You can switch channels at any time. 7) Not too sure, did a big outdoor area with very tough mobs last night. Took a full group to kill the mobs efficiently, and we didn't get all the way through. 8) No, I see mostly assasins and gladiators. 9) Stupid question. 10) Quests vary... still lots of collect/kill. Also, question to those who know more about the game: what exactly does the concentration stat do? It's on all the cleric gear... yet I don't know what it does. |

+10 Internets | 1) Other than a mob or person actually stunning you in combat, I've seen no daze effect of any kind. 2) So far all the Herb/Mining locations have been in the open for me and other than trying to jump over a fence away from mobs and not being able to jump high enough I've had no problem climbing terrain. 3) I think there are some but I've never used them. 4) There isn't a global cooldown that I notice, but all the spells have their own cooldown so you can't spam anything. At least I haven't been able to yet, IE sinister strike. 5) No idea, probably not though. 6) Seamless. edit: I never noticed the channel switching thing. 7) The abyss is suppose to have outside raid dungens, I've yet to see any dungen at all though. Im only level 14 so I'm sure there are some. 8) From random people running around and in the FOH guild there is a healthy amount of all classes it seems. Except chanters, because they're bad. 9) Aionsource and Areyouhellbound both have devs or at least community managers that post there, abet seldom but they do. 10) Early levels, which is all I have first hand experience on is collect this shit give it to this guy. But coupled with the mini-cinematics and funny mobs I'm still having fun with it. |

| Is it confirmed that beta ends on the 15th? It doesn't feel like levelling will take long, I've duo'ed 1-19 in about 2 days of semi hardcore playing. Unfortunately we didn't find the group area that gives TONS of exp until yesterday when we were already level 18. |
