| It's quite decent so far, hardly different from WoW though. Playing a warrior Characters under level 10 cannot chat Nice to see NCsoft so openly admitting that they are unwilling to fight bots. I wondered why the game was so quiet for the first hour. Is there a way to turn off your own attack shouts? aaaah aaaah |

| Exactly, and probably the number one reason for hundreds of thousands of lost subs in the first month (right behind the lost subs for no CS at all and no interest in doing anything about massed botting). When our Aion alliance has an "RvR night", like we have in many of these games for over eight years, with 15-20 of us with levels from 25-35 or so (this was a month ago or so), and one kid-without-a-job and his level 45 assassin can kill all of us without any of us being able to do any damage to him at all, you are either the shittiest MMORPG designer of all time, or have a raging case of "Tiny Korean Penis Syndrome", or both. |

+1 Internets | I've just given up on this game. At first it had the same feeling as DAoC (with a korean coating) that made me really hope the best for PvP and such. After getting to 30, and seeing the incredible grind ahead (and from what I hear 34 isnt even the grindy part) I couldn't stand it. I even gave up around 29ish and began botting. I can't even stand to do this anymore. I ran a bot 2 days straight and i went from 33-34. Awesome! Maybe I just dont even know how to cheat correctly. I knew none of my pvp friends would stick with it, they despise PvEing, leveling, etc. No, I dont want to spend 24+ hours grinding straight for a single level. And as has been said before, the idea that a level 35-40 can rift into morheim, and then proceed to wipe ENTIRE GROUPS of 25-30's, well, what the fuck, really? I really wanted this game to work. Some pvp that felt better than WoWs PvP for ADD style. And again it just shows that developers are completely ignorant in the western market (apparently this works in korea?). I don't understand how it can be hard to design a game that works here, especially when its just very simple changes in the design of your original game.

I'm pretty sure quite a lot of people (including me) have called this out quite a while ago. Koreans can not and will not design games that work in the western market. Thanks to my sister I'm currently witnessing it first hand too. Fucking anime bullshit. I absolutely loathe the "art"

Seriously, the grind gets BAD later on. But "later on" is post 40. If it annoys you before that you are a WoW player that should stick with it because every single MMO before WoW was way worse than 1-40 in Aion. And 40-50 is a close call, too.

Leveling content and speed is real important... it determines who has the most time to waste. Grinds are boring and in the end, utterly pointless except as a dick waving measurement about how 'hardcore' retarded you were for slogging through it.

You can't mass pvp because the engine handles it worse than WAR ever did. WAR was bad, but never crashed much(disclaimer:CLIENT SIDE) outside that 1 week 'patch' they did, meanwhile half my alliance poofs with CrySystem.dll errors in Aion. I'd imagine WAR would run smooth too if they had a SHIFT+F12 feature too. Small scale pvp has some potential, but again the e-peen level difference comes into play. Ok now most everyone is 50, lets enjoy small scale pvp! How? Preset matches? Rifting to pick on lower levels who cant even damage you? Wandering the abyss to gank levelers? Yay we found a 6v6! Not so fast, he who CCs first wins thanks to ZERO diminishing returns. This isnt a loud complaint yet as people are still leveling, but lets face it if you're a cleric (with no 2nd cleric to dispell) you WILL spend a majority of your 'fun pvp' as a tree, feared, chain silenced, slept, etc. With absolutely no recourse. This is where people usually parrot in and mention greater healing pots. I don't understand this as you CANNOT USE THOSE WHILE CCd!!

Let's not mention the fact that EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PLACE TO LEVEL is so incredibly fucking infested with bots, that I get maybe 1 - 2 kills every 5-10 minutes. I am not joking. Check out Zikel. It's disgusting. It's the reason I started botting in the first place. If you can't beat em, join em. I've leveled in EQ (vanilla), DAoC (vanilla, no PLing) and while those grinds may be similar to Aions current grind, the lack of bots spawn camping everything made it less of a chore. Also, both EQ and DAoC had a much, MUCH larger world than this. Meh, whatever. It's pointless. Obviously I'm a terrible player, and I should stick with WoW because the Grind is what separates awesome players from shitty ones. Right?

| The deal with the zerg PVPing is that its only temporary. Its not gonna be like that in the future because the high PVP ranks get epic AEs and abilities that can destroy zergs. Well, and possibly because everyones gonna quit, but yeah. |

| Maybe its not as big of a problem in asia with cafes that probably still only run 2 gigs ram, but the memory bug with crashing when the game tries to allocation more than 2 gigs makes high end pvp raids unplayable. |

| Its not anti-wow, dude. I hate grinding and long leveling phases. They actually destroy / lower my fun while playing. Even when I played UO the first time I didnt like that part of "MMOs". My point is: 95%+ of all MMOs are / were worse than Aion. You did worse grinding back then and maybe even enjoyed it. I completely hate leveling (and twinks because of that), always had always will ... and YET I dont see a problem in doing the grind "yet again in another MMO". I did it over a dozen times already, never enjoyed it, only the gameplay past that point. There were so precious few games where leveling was faster.. with WoW being the leader. So yea, if you cannot do the grind.. WoW is your game. Its also a pretty good game, makes a shitton of money and keeps all the casuals happy. |

If it was more group oriented i would have stuck around, but once i had to grind solo basically WoW style but taking almost as long as old EQ levels. Fuck that bullshit.
