Positive late-cycle endorsement from Amadeus.

This could turn it around for Aion.

Game was completely unplayable nearly all weekend with some of my friends who are on AT&T Uverse.

A lot of people bitch in shout/legion chat/channels on the lag as well. Granted, I am Time Warner, but not everyone is.

Obviously not talking about pvp. PVE only.
Still remember when we did some AE grinding in Heiron and our glad kept up 300 apm for several hours spiking over 1000 alot. We had take a break because his hand hurt.

What are you doing? Hitting a macro or smth?

Not trying that hard =P

Tanking in a Mau group. I held agro. Was about all I cared about.

But mainly our AE skills you have like 5 seconds while your char spins in the air like a retard.

As someone who thoroughly enjoyed playing Aion at the low levels, I'm sad to say that I'm becoming disappointed as well. I'm up to 42 now and I can't seem to make myself grind out the last 8 levels. It's bad enough that it's going to take an obscenely long time grinding the same mobs (I've farmed far more mau hairs and lepharist oaths than I could ever use by now), but now that there are a lot of 50s in the game, it's a pain in the ass even grinding in "safe" Asmodian locations. The best AP comes from rifting and killing questers, so the Elyos constantly camp choke points on the way to grind locations with massive groups. If you make it to the grind locations, there will be more groups there to kill you. At level 42, a level 45 is extremely difficult to kill- a level 50 might as well be God himself slicing through your group. It's becoming a very frustrating game, and the ridiculously long grind time doesn't help. It's worth noting that these issues are happening during my guild's main grind time which is 11pm-4am server time, so it's not like it's just a primetime issue.

On top of the leveling issues, my class (SM) is plagued by the same problems Warlocks faced in early WoW. The debuff limit in the game is 8. A chanter regularly puts 6 debuffs on a mob. Other classes will also put some debuffs on mobs. As a result, it's not even worth dotting mobs while I'm in a group. The lack of dot stacking is also an issue, but not nearly as much as the debuff limit. The flying pet patch seems like it won't be out until Christmas, so that's pretty disappointing as well.

There are a few other notable problems that other people have mentioned (lack of CS, bad item drop rates, horrible quest rewards, connection issues, economy ruined by bots), but those are the main ones for me. I'm going to keep playing for a bit and see how it goes, but I really don't see myself playing the game much longer at this point.

^^ Same boat.

You can find me raving about this game quite a few pages back, and I did enjoy it alot for awhile, but I'm at 43 and the game is boring me to tears.

I haven't played in a few weeks, but unless they changed it all you need to do is jump to cancel the animation and the ability will still fire, and it seems to allow for a much faster chaining of abilities.

Thumbs up

I washed out early on and called up the chongs to bot me to 50.

I paid till level 40, but they keep botting me. 44 at the moment, still being professionally botted.

I checked my characters location and he is surrounded by nothing but bots competing with eachother. I panned the camera around for 4-5 seconds and saw several bots around me, then I got world kicked by the chongs who were logging back in to resume the botting process.

Looks like this game fucking blows.

Yeah I had a great time until mid 30s. Then I came to grips that this game will never survive with current bot situation, customer service, future MMO competition etc. Was fun while it lasted and had some great things going for it over WoW, but not worth investing more of my time in. Back to EVE in time for Dominion!

This is exactly how I reacted. I felt like a sap being the only person leveling the 'normal' way in an area in Heiron swarmed with 30-40 bots, and thats just the north part of ONE zone, so I cancelled and havent logged in in weeks. I don't understand how each subsequent MMO can top one another for worse customer service, but they do somehow. No MMOs for me at the moment, if it weren't for the rash of quality non MMO games out there I'd feel homeless. This paragraph needs more MMOs. MMO!

I don't really notice the bots but I'm only level 30 and still playing casually as hell.

I do notice that the last part expert quest for handicrafting is going to cost me like 20+ million kinah to do.

So I'm done crafting for now. Shit it too expensive for my blood.

But my guild seems to be going strong lots of 40's+ and constantly adding more and we're not even a top 10 legion atm.

On my server and side at least (elyos zikel) the bots weren't really noticeable until you're into the 30s. There's a place in heiron where they rape an area you need for a campaign kill 50 quest, and there's only a few spots you can go to avoid them and do it, but otherwise if bots like an area I just go somewhere else.

The real issue is that the economy seems inflated. People will pay millions for items that should not cost that much, but they do because people will purchase gold to pay for it. I remember selling a 35 blue dagger for 1.5m and that paid for the entire cost to make it including all the failed whites and greens, over a week ago. Yesterday I sold a noble 40 greatsword (for the expert weaponsmithing) for 2m. The cost in fluxes, and I saved money by morphing too, was enough to make me wonder if it would even pay off. So many "experts" that paypal'd there; the people selling fluxes are making absolute bank thanks to gold sales. The people who managed to expert tradeskills before the rush and can sell gold items to gold buyers are probably rich off their asses now.

Ya basically each white -> green attempt costs me like ~2 million a pop and each green -> blue attempt will cost me 5-6 mil a pop. Statistically speaking I should be able to do it off 30 million kinah or so but fuck that.

I spent literally over ten million kinah so far eating into most of my profits. Friends tossed me a few million and such to give it more attempts but no way till everyone is higher. I only want to get 410 for one damn recipe for use for myself and a couple of guildies ;[

Blue costs don't seem too horribly off at least on my server of Ariel - Elyos I think I paid like ~1 mil kinah for all my blue armor and crit stones and all my jewelry (which I made) and another mil making my bow and +6 enchanting it so I didn't have to upgrade till orange weapon 40's quest.

So 2.5 million for a fully geared char that doesn't need doesn't need to upgrade for 15 levels or really at all aside from the weapon doesn't seem bad to me.

Plus gold flows pretty easy. I know a lot of people are making 1+ million a day from grinding and just vendor trash let alone drops. Not to say people aren't buying gold =O
