The zones pretty varied in themes. We got cockblocked by some pretty hard bosses when we were about 75% done with the zone.

I think the swamp with dragons is just ahead of the area I took SS's of.

Whats with all the botting hate? I've botted in every game since EQ, I'm not gonna waste my time leveling another character after EQ. Back in WoW days Id just bot my chars and control them via cellphone. If anyone wants info on a good aion bot PM me, it's in beta but the developer is $$.

FYI, heard that on Korean test, the XP modifier for mobs has been boosted 4.5x in the new patch. Dunno if true, just thats the word going on in game atm.

I just hope they also prevent sorcs/rangers/sms from soloing elites if they are gonna give 4.5x more xp.

MMO's are only fun when you reach the max level so you can then obtain the best gear and rub it and everyone's faces that your better than them

Edit - Not trolling, this is my serious opinion, I could care less about leveling, I just want to experience high end content and be the best.

Then you have pretty much missed the entire point of playing current MMo's. Especialy if your refrence point is since EQ, I hate to break this to you but games have changed since then. Ya most games have end games that start at lvl cap, but your missing tons of content that devs now place along the way so that you 'gasp' have fun. I find it funny your reason for doing this is to only acquire gear at the end and some how act as if your a better player. I'd say this most certainly makes you among the shittiest of players. Honestly since WoW with everyone haveing such easy access to gear no one realy gives a damn unless your a teenager poped up on puberty and it just hasn't clicked yet.

Cept in aion the leveling process is not "fun." It just requires you find a grind spot and chain kill mobs over and over again. Or if you are lucky, you can find a group and grind for a bit.

Im thinking someone could bot 1-50 in aion and not really miss out on that much content, unlike a game like WoW.


If that x4.5 xp per mob is true, that might really help the game out.

Leveling past 40 is more fun. Drops from named elites and hero mobs start having stats worth keeping them at 50 and beyond.

I leveled one char to 60 in wow on my own then I said forget it and botted like 4 more. I only played WoW like for 8 months after the release, and yes I know about how everyone is uber (hence why I quit a long long time ago).
