| I am sure your parents are proud. "Our kid may not amount to shit, but that little fucker sat on his unemployed ass on a computer and hit keys on a keyboard and proved to the world he was worth a shit on the internet by pissing on the floor when he ran out of cups." Good work Cartman. Time to tell mom to empty the shit-bucket of Cheesypoofs. |

Aion didn't get the scam of box sales that AoC and WAR were able to pull due to franchise, but they did pretty well. The Big Boss in Korea is very happy with his latest rehash. Aion is a success, unlike WAR and VG which were confirmed to bleed money. AoC however made money, it made so much money that Funcom immediately ramped up another 30-man division to develop their new titles after the first 2 weeks of AoC box sales. According to current industry standards (WoW is always excluded), Aion and AoC were great business successes.

| Well he's actually not making 60k yet if you read his post. His current job, he's working 50-60 hours a week, probably a busboy or something, but he's HOPING to get the 60k job, interviewing or w/e on his "offdays"... Someone should write a song about it. |

If they wanted to spend any kind of money they would pay a couple people to walk around and ban bots. There is no logical code that would work well. They also made it so I cannot mail my Alchemist toon the stuff I gather more than once a week. Yay. Quote:
Gotta admit the spam is all but gone now. I don't see how the communication blocks at low levels will affect me or my team mates in any negative way. I don't see the logic in it from a marketing standpoint though. The first few levels are so crucial to hook players... I guess I might be affected by the massive amount of people quitting the game before level 10 in the future? --- Tried Training Camp/Grounds instance tonight. Our 4-man team hit 25 late in the night and we just zoned in to try a few elites and see what all the XP rave was about. We were not disappointed. Around 25k per kill + Abyss points + quests. What should have been a few minutes of quick kills before logout turned into full-blown exploration (if that term can apply to the size of this instance). There were only 4 of us (Tank/Cleric/Chanter/Sorc) all level 25. We got curious about the first "boss". I was not really expecting to get to the end but we just kept on going. The whole experience was actually quite reminiscent of EQ. Careful pulls, scary patrols, challenging but not overly complex/scripted bosses. Just the right amount for the first real instance, I thought. Blue loot on the boss was neat too.

| So is this worth even me going to pick up in the morning? Or is it already halfway sunk? Having done the eq, to wow, to aoc, to war, should i expect the same as the last two mmos or does aion have any type of staying power? |

| I could already tell this game was going to crash during Beta. Glad I didn't get pulled in like AoC and WAR, which you guys also cock rode in the beginning.

Random screenshot that reminds me of EQ.... you have to cross multiple invisible bridges with twists and turns to get to a boss. If you fall off and survive the only way out is to suicide or port.

It lacks staying power. I all but quit and I am level 30 and feel like i got my money worth at least.
