Go 2h (staff) and max magic boost or you wont enjoy leveling as cleric!

Yeah, definitely go Cleric if you're planning on healing.

Clerics are pretty OP, imo. My buddy has been having a blast playing one.

BTW I think Ranger's are one of the most gear dependant classes. Spiritmasters being the least.

Thinking about picking this but couple of questions:

1. What is the best class for 'ranged damage-based pvp cc' (so, basically, a class that doesn't heal and cc but does damage and cc [so, likely, less DPS than a pure DPS class but more utility])? Thinking Sorc right? I only ultimately care about PvP.

2. Is there an official or unofficial RP server?

3. Will the game run decently on a Dual Core 6600, 4GB, 8800GTX machine?

I'm on an E6600, 4gb and 4870, it flies with everything on max @ 1920x1200. Fortress fights of course you lower settings, but it still runs good enough.

Surprisingly not. They rely hugely on their crits (crits do a knockback, plus 90% of their damage comes from long-cooldown abilities), while leather armor is mostly just Armor and Evasion, its very very rare to find an armor piece with an offensive bonus. Armor is there mostly to allow you to socket +crit manastones.

Now it CAN get expensive if A: you are always buying new bows (I prefer to pickup a new bow once every 3-4 levels, which is probably more often than I should) and B: if you get unlucky with the +crit drops. Those things are stupidly expensive on the AH.

My vote for most gear dependant? Probably the melee classes.

Iv been playing on Ariel, think the only time I have seen a queue is if I try to log in at like 10pm est, and its only like a few mins if that.

We got a guild of about 10 or so people who are playing from WoW, its pretty fun so far.

Ive been playin on siel, at lvl 35 the zones arent that crowded but there is a fair number of people around, i guess the mid twenties is where the majority of the pack is... i think i could be alot higher if i was just grinding or botting but i am kinda enjoying the campaign quests and grouping atm.

I still wish we could have a game where grouping elites was like 30-50 percent better than soloing but i guess them being 75 percent as good is ok so atleast i dont feel like i am completely wasting time by doing the elite areas.

So whats up with no Gladiators dual wielding? Im only 21 myself and I have only seen one other glad besides myself doing it. Even all the higher lvl glads I see running around use polearms/great swords.

Ummmm, grouping for elites is better experience then soloing. There are rare exceptions for dps classes at certain level ranges but from 35-50 (and some level ranges prior to 35) for the majority of classes grouping is superior experience then soloing.

It depends on the quality of the group, what mobs you are killing etc but there are some elite grinding spots where a good group can get better experience then anybody playing solo. It's why a lot of the highest level solo players are currently being passed by people in designated grinding groups, especially 40+.

Some dps classes can solo elites and get comparable experience to people grouping but for support classes like a cleric or templar, grouping is almost twice as fast as soloing.
