When it shows the class you just click either side of the circle. One for male the other for female denoted with an M or an F. Also it shows the main screen with the gender you choose.

3+ hour queue last night to play my good dude, logged right into the bad guy. Not going to power level since I am enjoying WoW again but it's fun.
Mage on the dark side, priest on the light side. Mage is a bad dude, serious DPS. Also feels 'fragile' in HtH, which I like.
Have root right off the bat, slow and some good nukes...
Priest feels unkillable.
Trying to figure out how the mana regen works, weird how it's spent and how it reloads.

Mana regen sucks, especially as a mage. Hit comma to sit after fighting, and use pots to make it go quicker.

After level 10 things get easier as you get mana bandages.

yeah at lvl 20 sorcerers get a stigma that has all of your abilities use 50% less mana for 15 seconds, with a 30 sec cooldown. I just never run out mana anymore when solo'ing, and am using HP treatments more than mana treatments

Didn't play though due to 3 hour queue on the server my friends are on... there are low pop servers with no queues you can definitely play on, I managed to create a character on one before I decided not to waste time building a character where I wouldn't want to play. Azmodians seem to be the most populated on most servers, check the server status page at the aion website to be sure you won't be locked out of creating what you want after waiting through the queue.

It kinda sucks you can't even create a character without waiting in the queue first.

If you have a job and want to skip the queue when you get home, but don't want to keep the game running as an afk store all day, use logmein.com to queue 1-3 hours before leaving work. It seems like the game has to be in windowed mode for this to work, but maybe I just haven't figured out how to fix it.

AFK stores piss me off so much, you should be able to ignore them all. :/
