Avira Antivir isn't happy since the patcher upgraded to 1.5.13.5 a few minutes ago. It's coming up with a virus indicator :

C:\......\STEAMAPPS\COMMON\AION\BIN32\AION.BIN

Is the TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen Trojan

Yep, have Kaspersky AV installed on my girlfriends machine and it was complaining as well.

aion_ayase Avira AntiVir will give a *false positive* for parts of the patch. Don't be alarmed. We are contacting them to have this resolved.

Is it just freezing up and then exiting the game after you attempt to login? No login attempt notification or anything displayed? That's whats happening to me.

I got a could not connect to auth server in one of the tries, but most of the time it just times out and close the client.

Edit: Also ayase said the servers are not up yet so that's expected.

Who's retarded idea was it at NCSoft to put up a patch on the day of (or the day before) the Pre-Launch character creation? 5.2 mb patch and it won't even start, I'm guessing due to the servers getting hammered.
