You can only jump channels pre20, and there will be a 3-5mins cooldown on channel hopping at release(1.1 change).

I thought that was just related to combat. As in, it was 10 seconds, but 3-5 mins after combat?

It'll still be 10secs "cast" to switch, but there will be a 3-5minutes(duration depends on the zone, 1-10 is 3mins, 10-20 is 5mins) cooldown before you're allowed to switch again. After 20, there's no channel anymore so it doesn't even matter anymore.

If you're gathering switching channels isn't particularly useful to be honest, you just need to find a decent spot and farm those nodes it's just as fast assuming there's enough nodes. The only nodes I had trouble finding in groups are cooking stuff, there's quite often 2type of nodes mixed in the same area, but for like metal cloth and so on, it's pretty easy to find a decent spot.

It's nothing compared to farming refining stones anyway, once you have enough stones getting the rest for like 5-6crafts is a matter of 20mins or so, assuming you know roughly where to look.

They havent announced when the open beta will be yet. Youll be able to get on live when the head start happens if you preorder.

I'm going to be racing to 50 with a few very solid guys I used to play Warhammer with. We are going Elyos, but haven't picked a server yet.

Personally, I'll be playing a Cleric and not many people can outlevel me so if you guys are serious about it and want a Cleric to group with, I'll let you know what server when we decide. If you aren't a fast leveler though you are likely going to get left behind, but you might as well join up for as long as you can hang if you want.

I doubt my group will contend for Server or US first. We do plan on playing roughly 102 hours from Sunday to Sunday the first week, but I don't know if that will be enough. Drop me a PM if you would like the schedule.

Was under the impression we already had 6 people who wanted to join that group? Anyway don't think we'll get a US first(or a server first if we play on a good server), not that I care much about these. I usually get decent rankings but I never try to compete for them it's too much of a hassle. Guess I'll check the thread about it.

Edit: Nvm it seems we only have 4people. Not that having a full group is much better though, can do with 4. Thought Draegan was in and some other sin too.

I didn't ask what level or what the cast time is. I just asked if channels are instances. Dumbass.

Channels are instances, but it's not a huge turnoff like AoC because it stops after you get out of Aion's Tortage, like AoC should have. That's why I bolded that part, dumbass.
