I dont think they've announced yet but my guess would be at least a couple of weeks down the road. First week in September or so would be a smart bet as early start is on the 20th and Im sure they want a week or more between the OB and early start.

My big complaint about Pandemonium is it's inneficient as fuck.

In Sanctum, you run a bit, then on your left you have newb trainers, on your right teleporter+bank/AH, you take the teleporter and you end up at the 25+trainers and crafting area. In the middle is basically a few quests npcs and random vendors you won't need 95% of the time.

In pandemonium, you run a bit, then you have the newb trainers on the sides, but you have to run past all the shitty vendors to reach the middle of the city, around which there is the bank, the crafting area and the high trainers, but all fucking spread out. And the teleporters are both equally as far from the center of the town, the only use for it is to go to quest givers in shitty isolated places or the arena.

So you spend most of the time running from the entrance to the bank/trainers/crafters and back, while in Sanctum you simply use the teleporter to move between the 2 areas of interest. Not that sanctum is perfect. To go to the trainers/stigma you have to wait on a shitty elevator, takes like 20secs everytime, and the crafting area is fucked, if you do alchemy weapon or armorsmithing, the quest giver is not close enough from the forge/table so you actually have to click more when doing work orders. But shit whoever designed the teleporters in Pandemonium was a fucking retard.

Anyway enough with the rant on capitals, Sins are pretty fun from what I've seen, I've considered playing one early on but just gave up, figured if I was gonna play a DPS I might as well play a ranger. Sins look like they have a tons of tools though, and some shit to keep an eye for like reactives/combo points, and they're the highest dps class in the game so guess it's fun to watch the big numbers. The 20% toggle speed buff looks like the most fun part of the class though, running faster than everyone makes everything less annoying.

So over the past few days, I keep coming back to this thread to check on updates / more about the game. I would love to play a MMO that is actually different where not all the classes are carbon copies of the same game. Generic tank/priest/support/dps etc, I feel I have played the same game over and over. I would really like to try this game out, but don't know enough about it yet.

If anyone could link some explanation to the classes or what to expect in game play, I would greatly appreciate it.

This is huge for me. While playing on a Chinese server I noticed that high level characters typically had similar gear (There was one two-hand axe that a lot of Gladiators seemed to use etc.) This was based on just a handful maxed chars I saw running in town. This seems like the type of game where you are basically provided sets of armor at certain levels as long as you complete the quests/kill certain mobs. Doesn't matter how cool you look if everyone is wearing the same thing. In EQ (and even some cases in WoW) you could be max level and have awesome or completely horrid gear based on where you went and how you played. In RPG's like Diablo, its fine. Having played previous MMO's I have come to expect more.

As far as quests go, that's just expected now. I'll keep following to see how things pan out however. If I'm bored enough and have time I might give it a go for a few months.

The glass cannon nature of sorcerer's is really getting to me. I have a 16, and at this point, they're so fragile pulling a mob takes real setup. All buffs up, distance, check for potential adds, check surroundings, enough mana, etc. Any advice? What are some great soloing classes? I usually play a priest in other MMO's, how are they for soloing & group need?

More crafting work tonight. I like it except for the drop rate on the refining stones. I found a ton of accessory and armor stones and like 1 of the weapon stone which was the one I needed of course. Maybe when live hits people will be willing to trade stones but as of right now it's a big roadblock to being able to make anything "fun".

It's not that bad, but yeah if you don't want to play a glass canon, obviously you're not gonna like sorc, it doesn't get better, only worse. Easiest classes to solo are healers as usual, but everyone does fine, just stay away from sorc, sin and ranger if you don't want to have to pay attention to your screen.

For crafting and the stones it's a bit gay but that also means there will be a market for shit, since mats aren't that easy to get and crafted gear is actually good. Also believe weapon stones drop less than the other 2, mostly because you only need like one or 2 weapons, when you need multiple pieces of jewelry or armor. Don't think it's a big problem, but if you don't grind all the time you probably won't have enough stones ever. I got like 25 lesser weapon stones leveling my templar on full grinding though, which was enough for 4 1h swords. When I quested on my ranger I think I only got like 8 or something stupid like that.

I LIKE the glass cannon of sorcerors. Big numbers gets you the big frailty.

I'm pretty much set on playing 3 characters at once...if not 4...sigh. Assassin, Sorceror, Enchanter...I had fun playing them all.

Depends on the mob you're fighting. Caster NPC's will plow through most anybody so they're the only real danger. Other then that you're just doing it wrong though if you're ever in risk of dying. I can't conceive of a way you'd get actually close to dying unless you just keep throwing your keyboard at a wall to play. And even then all you have to do is bind every key to the macro I posted before and you'll still level without issue.

I couldn't find any information on when open beta starts but I'd assume we will have another couple weeks off before it starts. That would still leave a few weeks of open beta before their scheduled release date.

I would put my money on September 4th for open beta.......

I doubt open beta is that long. Maybe the tenth and it only lasts a week.

I hate it when I see 1-5 people around as I am questing. Feels so empty.

It does get better with almost forced grouping..

There's also something else getting on my nerves and thats the amount of time it takes to kill elite mobs. I'm starting a sin to see if his damage will increase how fast mobs go down and increase my fun factor during those long elite quests grinds.

I didn't want to play a sin though I like my chanter but more damage is needed!
One thing you need to remember is that there are essentially 10 outside instanced worlds for every server. You can click Menu - Support - Channels to change your channel. When you do this your teleported to a different instance of your world.

This is the biggest reason you don't see such dense populations when you are out running around. I always change my channel from the default 1-3, its a hell of a lot easier to finish gather / kill quests.

That's only for the first 20 levels.

It probably will be something similar to this, very short i'd wager. At this point with the game being release in a couple places OB is a solid hype engine.

They need to tease the people who are on the fence for box sales purposes and of course the possibility of sustained revenue.
