| Question: I got a standard pre-order from Steam and made an account, so on the NCSoft account page my game account type is Standard. I then canceled that pre-order, and a bit later got the collector's edition pre-order. Now, my account type still says standard, but the serial codes attributed to the account are Standard and Collector's. Am I going to have issues claiming my Collector's edition shit or starting in the CE head start? |

| I played this last CB for a few hours. Pretty fun times, I haven't played a MMO since PoP EQ other than Vanguard for a month. What are the rules for determining who gets loot rights to a mob? The first person to engage, or the group with the most damage? Did anyone else notice retardedly short leashes on some spawns? Situations like nuking a mob from 25m, it taking a few steps then turning ass back home, reset with full HP. |

+4 Internets | If you haven't preordered yet and don't mind using Gamestop, promo code AION offers free overnight delivery. Not a big deal, but I didn't spot it on Google and kinda stumbled on it when I typed it in for shits and giggles. Last edited by Burning_Samurai; 08-05-2009 at 08:01 PM.. |

| I'm just pumped up for a game where you don't do a mindless questing treadmill. It makes all quests irrelevant lorewise when you just clickclickclickclick in order to pick all the quests up and don't even care about the story. Pulling the whole live side in lower guk, or chain pulling in Sebelis are far more interesting to me. Plus it builds the social aspect and you learn who the good players are. A good grind group can be quite entertaining.

Game question for anyone who knows: Do Chanters ever get another ranged ability? I know they are based around buffs and group support but it would definitely be nice for PVP. I know the get the starting Smites from the Priest line but those dont get upgraded do they?

| I did enjoy the campain story, I liked how it showed you there was kind of a chapter feel that you could follow if you wanted. I enjoyed the attack animations, also...WoW's same animation for nearly every mage/druid/paladin spell was getting tired. |

| Do yourself a favour and don't roll anything melee (except maybe Assassin due stuns). There's really a lot of kiting/ flying, which isn't a problem by itself at first. However, in Aion everytime you do a special attack/ ability your character stops and does it's animation. Now this isn't a problem from the dmg point of view (dmg is already done and in the combat log when you hit the ability) BUT your char stands still, and while you already have a hard time catching up running/ flying on people, you have to catch up even more/ harder and after every damn ability - it's retarded to say at best. Now this isn't so much of an issue in group pvp, which Aion is all about. @Sharmai That's not the templers job. They soak up the dmg, do "pull-ins" and stun here and there. They got decent dmg for a tank, too. The AE taunt (which pulls people close) skill costs a good bunch of DP and has a 1hr cooldown. You wont see this happening on a regular basis. Anyway, I was about to go for Gladiator (they really look awesome with the armor/ weapons), but seems a ranged is the way to go unless you group day in and out. |

As for short leashes, never noticed them no, mobs only leash if you don't attack them for ~4secs, or if they can't hit you for ~4secs. As long as you keep hitting them, they'll never leash so you can kite where you want. The only fast leash I've seen is when you pull from an unreachable spot, mobs will stop for a few secs then just leash anyway.

edit: Oops Pyros beat me. As for melee, I wouldn't worry to much about the kiting etc. Maybe in 1v1 stuff, but in group PVP you'll do just fine. Last edited by Draegan; 08-06-2009 at 07:33 AM..
