The 50 wings more or less comes down to how important pvp is to you. They are 5 seconds less flight time than 30ce and you get 150 hps. Flight time in the abyss is considered less 'limited' because of the aether rings and obviously hps are key for damage mitigation. (Also, and I don't know this to be gospel, but supposedly that 150 hps is like a hot that hits you every 10 seconds, not just a set 150 hps.) As you know (probably better than I) speed & flight time can be tweaked in so many ways with gear, titles, buffs, pots, stones, scrolls that it just comes down to how prepared you are/want to be and the same thing for yer opponent(s).

| I've sifted as much as I can - how is the UI customization? Will it have the same level of madness as WoW? One of the major "fuuuuuuuck thissssssss"es I had with WAR and AOC are their inferior interfacing. Talk whatever shit you'd like about WoW but even xibit gets a hard on over wow's interface control. yo dawg i herd u liek health bars so we fill up ur health bars wit more health bars so u can min max wile u min max |

| Aion won't allow addons. Their interface is fine while playing. two difference ways of laying out with the placement of minimap and your target and your own health bars. Some windows are movable I believe. Everything is scalable as well. Some of the things that need work like the AH windows etc have been worked on for 1.1 through 1.5 and I have not been able to play it to see. I've heard they were good changes. |

Hmmm. That's pretty ballsy. Especially regarding how some classes will whack-a-mole a raid/party interface a hell of a lot more than others. The hivemind is a better interface developer than any assembled team can possibly hope to be. If there is any sort of solid Aion web presence it will be cluttered with people linking to some wow mod site asking for certain functionality to be included. fuuuuuuutile

| They are not changing anything. There are localization issues like cultural reference that are being changed. There may be experience curve changes (I doubt it though), but content, design, combat etc will be completely the same. |

| How many times can you be wrong in one thread? Just sit down of course the NA release will be different than the one that's currently out. It will be the version that Korea has.... it won't have any changes influenced by the N.A beta testing. |

| Right, so changing the amount of xp you need to level, making mobs give more xp and all the changes they are making in 1.5 has nothing to do with the NA release? Where have i been wrong? Please elaborate. Last edited by Toxxulian; 07-28-2009 at 06:48 PM.. |

It's based on what's going on in Korea.

| Look at your posts from the last 3 pages you sound clueless. I'm pretty sure you just learned that Aion is a localized port for us since you keep mentioning that "we don't know because it's not out yet". We do know what the patch cycle will be like because the Korean server will get the updates before we do. The game came out 7 or 8 months ago in Korea and they've already had 3 major patches (1.1/1.2/1.5) By the time our servers are on the endgame content from 1.5 there should already be a new major patch on the way. I think I've played 3 localized Korean MMo's now and it has always worked the same way. The company running the N.A server will have to request patches from the Korean dev's since any custom changes made for our servers would conflict with future changes in the next major patch. So it's likely to be the same with Aion where we will only get bug/exploit fixes not custom changes/nerfs. Last edited by Seig; 07-28-2009 at 07:13 PM.. |

| Yes i know the game has been out in Korea for a little bit. But like you said, 8 months. Can't judge a game that hasn't even been out for a year. They're just releasing stuff that was suppose to be in the game from the start. Just like every other mmo ever released. WoW/EQ2/War/AoC did the exact same thing. AoC was out for a three months and had content added during that time. Do you think they still add content every three months now? Nope. |
