Nope, I was in WAR beta and said it'd suck and I did AoC beta and said it'd suck. You couldn't be more wrong, I try games extensively before deciding if it's worth my time.

What exactly does end-game PvP in AION consist of? There's no instances (BG's / scenarios) i hope? Are there only RvR areas where the different sides can fight each other or will PvP occur in almost every area of the game world? What are the draws of the "RvR" areas? Are there worthwhile PvE camps for players to fight over? etc. etc.

I agree that the 6 month patch cycle wow is in is horrible, but saying a game is great because it doesn't have that when it is not even out yet is nonsense.

I didn't say patch cycle, I said content.

WoW has bug and balance patches all the time, but it took me 4 years of waiting at 6 months between new raids to finally get tired of it.

I wish they would just release expansions completed and have them more frequently, I'd pay for that. Instead we get an expansion every 2+ years with 1-2 raids and another 2 years of waiting for the rest of the expansion.

Have read good things about the game up to level 20 or 30 but I've yet to really hear what all the content at 50 or whatever the cap is will center around. Warhammer had a LOT of positive feedback in similar fashion by the end of its beta, but the end game turned out to be pretty bad in comparison to the 10's and 20's. I guess safest thing will just be to wait until after AION has been out a few months.

It is hard to say how RvR is going to be at this point. Right now the Abyss is the only way to get the best gear which makes for RvR 24-7. However in 1.5 they are adding a bunch of PvE and gear that rivals abyss gear. This will leave the abyss with less players and more in dungeons. There is discussion of the PvE dungeons allowing PvP but I have no info on that or how that will work.

I agree with what you said. But saying aion won't be the same before it is released is foolish.
