I've never had Gamestop give me a key right on the spot. I got mine on Amazon and got an email with the beta key shortly thereafter.

However... I was at Gamestop the other day and they had pre-order Aion packages on the desk, with a card on it that had the beta key on the back of the card. So.. you may be able to get it right then and there at a Gamestop.

Worth a shot anyway.

Thats how I got into the beta thing today went down to ebgames/gamestop. Got the disk etc with the card, finaly had to give in so I can see this first hand.

if gamestop/ebgames have run out of cards then one will be mailed to you *IF* you mention that that's the reason your pre-ordering to get into the beta. Your best bet is to call ahead to different gamestops/ebgames and verify they have the pre-order bonus + beta code (all the same thing really) in stock. Two stores I called did not have it but the third did.

And you only have to put down 5$ at the store.

I can't find it but didn't someone say earlier you should keep any starting green items you find to sell later? Does that also apply to manastones? For that matter Does that apply to all non-misc items? Should they all be saved for use or to be sold somewhere better?

On the early keepers I think Hatorade (not sure) posted this awhile ago:

Angelica, now angelica is the big one. For all pots that increase HP we need Angelica. Can be gathered from level 1 and can be sold in stacks of 100 for 50k. Great way to make cash it seems.
Others include Fresh Angelica/Tarragon for the large 600+HP gains.

So I'm saving weed myself. As for greens, they look really rare overall I guess they should sell well to players, also theres sorta of a DE system but I coulnd't play with it yet (found an item that said - destroy an magical item to place an enchantment somewhere else, or something like that).

If your laptop could run Farcry 1 it has a shot on running Aion it's lightweight. My desktop is 2 years old, was a mid-budget at the time, and everything is maxed with AA on at 1650x1050.

Will be depending on the mvga.

My computer is 4 years old and runs Aion on max settings with high fps in crowded starting areas and cities.

It really makes me wonder about games that run poorly (Sacred 2) with the same graphics.

so what's the deal with the special bonus for pre-orders? Don't you get the lvl 30 wings and what not when you order from somewhere? Them wings cost 1,000,000 in game so gettin that for free is nice...

You get free wings with the collector, and 1million isn't all that much(it's still a big amount, but you should have it by 30/not long after assuming you're not an idiot and vendor crit mana stones). You can easily have 100k by 20 to give you an idea, and obviously money gains increase a lot as you level up. That said, it's a pretty decent advantage from 10 to 30 to have longer duration wings, especially if you plan to pvp/craft.

yeah I had ~800k by level 28 on my ranger, but when each death costs 12,000 ... it goes down pretty fast. Could always use that $ to buy an epic wep and / or save up the 10,000,000 required for the lvl 40 wings >.>
