We can put 3 auras (party only, they must be close to you or they'll loose them), we can also have some self buffs and we have 2 normal 60 minutes buffs.

There are divine power buffs also, the one at level 31 is pretty good but due to it being divine power is also pretty rare (excepting in the abyss, where you gain a lot of DP per mob).

Question for those already playing in Korea. Does this game have any scripted events like the little easter eggs and cutscenes you find in WoW or the cutscenes you find in FF? Or are all the dungeons like in EQ2, just a bunch of mobs?

I'm only level 14 right now but almost every storyline mission I've done so far on the Elyos side has had a cutscene FFXI style. I haven't found any dungeons yet so I can't comment on those.

That's also the rumor I heard, somewhere between May and June.

I'm enjoying it yeah. It feels like WOW with a Korean art style from what I've experienced so far.

I'd like it more if patches didn't take me 12+ hours to download though.

Lots of quests to do or is most of your experience coming from killing mobs?

And how do you feel about the leveling speed so far?

Leveling feels right on the money, if anything it feels too fast. Maybe the EXP curve will kick in later on?

I'm level 15 now and I'm starting to abandon quests that I've outleveled. I'd say I've explored 10-15% of the zone below the Elyos floating city you're placed in after getting your wings and I've completed 14 storyline missions and maybe 30-40 sidequests. I've been duoing with a Cleric friend (I'm playing a Sorcerer) who also bought a Korean account and he knows enough of the language to get us through the quests easily enough.

Also holy shit this game is beautiful in high resolutions with settings maxed out and 8x AA. Frame rate is solid and the animations are the best I've seen in an MMO.

The game is made using the original Cry engine, so if your computer can handle the 2004 game "Far Cry" on high, it should be able to handle Aion, even with the added spell effects, etc. This should be most systems nowadays.

E6600
8800 GT 640MB
4GB ram

Framerate has stayed above 60 everywhere except busy locations in the city such as the AH with everything maxed out.

I'm so confused right now. On the old thread:

Quote:
There will be raid bosses in both instances and in the persistent world. A party will consist of 6 players, and a raid will be composed by 4 parties (24 players). 2 types of raids: the first one like Lineage 2, with huge amounts of players, and the second type requiring more strategy then mindless zerging. And there also a possibility of raid encounters influencing the faction war if said boss is important enough.
then

Quote:
* Aion will NOT be focused on dungeons and will not require players to run instance dungeons or dungeons in general in order to succeed and get good equipment. (Of course not; you're supposed to chill in the Abyss.)
* Party size is 6 and apparently raids will probably be limited to 1 party. That means raiding should take a pretty long time and be a little more intense than "heal him. Spam hate." I'm worried that this will result in "prime parties" where certain classes won't get to raid because people will want an enchanter or a tank instead, but who knows.
which is it? are there true raids or not?

The first one is the real deal. There are true raids, It's even rumored that the colossus will require 2 raids (48 people).
