+4 Internets | [WoW] Best 5-man group class choices Four friends and I are looking to start playing WoW together as a group with the aim of doing 5-man content. Towards that end we're trying to figure out what classes we can choose to get the most for our effort. Granted most team compositions can work given skilled players there are probably combinations that have better synergy. Most of my friends aren't terribly "hardcore". So whatever will work with the least amount of effort would be optimal. Currently we're aiming for: Paladin/Warrior Rogue (Combat) Mage (Fire) Shaman (Resto) Warlock (Affliction) There seems to be some hesitation on playing a warlock, so what could be a good substitute? I'd like to have other opinions on what might be the best configuration given our situation.

| As has been stated, alot of the 5man stuff is pretty fluid in terms of class buildup. Granted, it can be a different beast on heroic, but overall the game gives you some good flexibility in terms of group makeup. Another thing to remember is that certain dungeons can favor certain classes. For instance, warlocks can be pretty sweet in dungeons with enslavable demons ![]()

+53 Internets | http://www.fohguild.org/forums/mmorp...changed-4.html http://www.fohguild.org/forums/mmorp...oint-game.html Or any of the half dozen patch threads and other threads that get derailed into general WoW advice. Or Prot paladin Elemental shaman Fury/MS warrior Holy Priest Destro Lock Edit: You can AE pretty much all the trash before any given boss with that group. It's what I tend to roll with and it's nice not having to do one pack of mobs at a time like God intended and just pull as much as possible. And you can respec and be awesome in Arena too. Is no better group, I guarantee it. Last edited by Zehn - Vhex : 05-15-2008 at 06:41 PM. |

| The good news is that you're still alive. The bad news is that that's the good news. Also, you have no legs. Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: 'Merica, land of the free.

+6 Internets | Concur, ideal group make up is a druidx2, eldritchx2-5, enchanter for focus pulling and whoever else you want to plevel. I recommend madcaps in Midgard, but you can't get there cuz you're a hib lol
