They obviously will. Some kind of raid boss that has an insanely high magic damage attack that can only be tanked by Anti-Magic Shell (75% reduc).

I don't see raids bringing more than one really, though it will obviously depend on how their dps stacks up against other classes. I don't think the Ghoul battle rez would be worth it unless the Ghouls are decently powerful.

So what, exactly, is so heroic about a Death Knight, other than that they start at 55 and require a mid-level character to create?

It seems like they've completely taken the 'heroic' aspect out of it by allowing virtually EVERYONE to make it. I'm not saying this is necessarily a bad thing, but why pretend it's something it isn't (a SPECIAL kind of class) rather than just embracing what it is (a new regular class)?

My biggest fear and one they didn't address in any of those articles was the overly modular feel of the dungeons in TBC. The hall-bossroom-hall-bossroom-hall-endbossroom thing got old quick and made many of the dungeons more bland.

The CoTime Stratholm instance gives me hope but I'm holding out my enthusiasm until I see dungeons that feel like dungeons.

The Barrow Downs in LOTR (if it had had more bosses in it then just the 2/3 it had) is one of the -best- dungeons I've ever had the fortune to play in. I don't want to ressurect the 'best zone thread' but Blizzard needs to go back and look at BRD and say "How do we recapture this epicness?"

I could give fuck all about pvp balance, tanking inequalities, etc...etc...just so long as the dungeons feel unique again and not just the same 4 corridors with different textures on the walls.

"BL LFG"

"Wtf do you even do?"

Don't even fucking bring up Beastlords. Not only were mocked and looked down upon by groups for months but they were unfinished and terrible. Trying to find a group was like having all the Necro stigma and none of the power.

Wasn't there discussion about this way back when? Something to the extent of that players don't like large scale dungeons....prefer small instances that can be ran relatively quickly. I think a nice mix would be better than all or nothing, personally.

Well let's be honest, naming conventions aren't exactly all that useful anymore. Why is fishing up a guppie a 'quest?' Isn't that more doing someone a favor?

Hero class will just be a way of saying, "alternate starting point."

Still think this is lame on blizzards part..one heroic class every 2 years? With all that cash I expect next "expansion" to have at least four more heroic classes. To be sinical however the class doesn't even sound heroic, Death Knight should be limited to race and you must be a badass(hardcore) to acquire it.

Not this oh your level 55 here is your lolipop and new class, thats not fucking heroic. The abilites sound gimmicky but pretty cool. I really don't want to see 15 DKs with fear aura on making a moving wall of death fear. I am sure they won't let that happen but the potential is there.

Too bad it takes them years to release expansions. Still no date on this? Not even in beta *said they were playing alpha* yet, so I assume 8+ months?
Aye. This essentially seems like the heroic vs normal on the raid front. I'm all for this. It seems like a really neat way to do things. At the same time, I'm pretty sure this means we're going to be seeing less raid instances as opposed to more 10 mans.

The problem was that the unwashed masses would go into BRD thinking that you had to do all 3 wings in one sitting which would ultimately take 2~5 hours to do.

There was also the fact that you often had to clear a half hour to hours worth of trash just to get to some of the first bosses. Prior to the various revamps, the first non-rare blue dropping boss was Fineous I believe? And so you had to clear the detention block, clear the arena event, clear the barracks, clear the living quarters, clear the golems, and then you got your first loot dropping boss.

Nowadays it's not so bad. If they cut back on the number of packs it would be almost perfect. Plus a more clearly defined route. Most people didn't realize you skip all the way to the lyceum. Hell, I was in tons of groups that would clear the detention block just to get to the dark iron highway and then I'd be like, "Uh...guys...there's this door right at the fucking zone in..."

Why isn't anyone hounding Blizzard on why it's taking so fucking long for expansions to come out? They haven't even addressed the fact that they originally said they intend to release an expansion per year. Have people just forgotten that?

I'm sure its because the hero classes are a balancing nightmare.

And stop whining about the expansion not coming out, they will release when they are ready to.

If they knock out more raid instances like ZA or Kara I'll be happy personally. Good risk vs reward and some interesting fights to master. Actually, levelling an alt in Eversong I was reminded that Tor'Watha is still unopened, anyone know if there's plans for that instance in the pipeline let alone Grim Batol?

Keys to making money and being super valuable when the expansion hits.

1. Make a non-plate/non-dps character that heals.
2. Take whatever gathering profession supplies mats to inscription.
3. Profit!!!

In other words... Make a druid, shaman, or priest.
