Damp is crap and you know it. Amp is actually excellent but such a massive pain in the ass to put on a raid every time that I'd like to stab a dev. Give me a group version and more than the tank(s) will get it on occasion.

| I always thought it would be fun to be able to switch locations with your target as a mage. A kind of upgrade to blink. I'm sure it's been considered internally. I'd think it would be an arcane talent. Why wouldn't this be completely awesome? Wherever he was, you are, and vice versa. Up down, side to side. It would dominate in PvP. Another tool they could get would be to set a target on fire and that target's allies would take damage from him if they're too close. The only threat the mage would get would be the damage done directly to the target on fire. The don't really apply to synergy, which I do think is a concern, but no one else really does much frost, fire, or arcane damage. I think they need to add more synergy to encourage caster -> melee and melee -> caster cooperation. For example, mages might get an AC debuff in the ice tree or their fire dot might give players that strike the affected target a short term haste buff. The consistent caster+caster and melee+melee synergy gets a little tired. Shamans and Paladins, and to a lesser extent Warlocks and Hunters, are the too few that can cross the aisle. I always felt like Stormstrike could have been expanded upon. Perhaps a whole line of similar abilities should be created on the same recycle that would allow enhancement shaman to play to their group's strengths, but shaman seem to be doing alright in their role as the enabler. Thorns, Dampen, and Amplify are all due a trained or dropped group buff version. |

| I'd like them to give the Spriests the choice between utility and DPS. Using talents even maybe, and not just spells. Currently we are an amazing support class with a ok DPS, but why not give us the choice of increasing the DPS in exchange for utility?

| The Mage in Wow is a mishmash of three EQ classes. The Enchanter:crowd control, mind buffs, and slow. The Mage:elemental pet, summoned items. The Wizard:fire/frost/arcane, and ports. Isn't it obvious what the three mage trees should be if someone had the balls to fix the class four years in? Chanter tree:Better CC with 2 sheeps or perhaps a wider range of sheepable mobs.Better mind buffs.KEI anyone? Finally a real slow. Mage tree:Permanent Elemental.Tradeable mana gems.Food and water with stat buffs. Wizard tree: More pew pew.Take the best of the current DPS talents. The mage class deserves to be more than choosing between spamming red, blue, or white balls of magic. |

Also about the CC tree, most of blizzard encounters are based on chaos and how you control it. It's been pretty obvious they do not want any body permanently CC'n things. I enjoyed EQ as much as the other EQ vet, but a lot of encounters / pulls were done way too easily b/c of the ability of enchanters. | |

| what AoC has taught me is that one of the best things Blizzard could do in WOTLK is remove combat logging and make the damage numbers more "fuzzy". No more recount, recap, WWS, DrDamage, etc, etc and all the min/maxers won't know exactly who does the best DPS and people will stop turning WoW into a spreadsheet with graphics. |

| Yeah, they're definitely going to remove combat logging after the whole patch that added a brand new combat log. Combat logging is really the only thing that allows a guild to improve their play in the very top tiers of raiding. Can you imagine trying to do a DPS race fight and having to GUESS who in the guild is doing good damage or not, or what spec is doing more damage than another? | Proud Communist | To raid, you need ears, eyes and a pulse. To be good at raiding, you need the above + intelligence. To be great, you need the above and someone in your guild who makes his living in actuarial sciences or a related field. That's pretty awesome, really. |
