| I've been playing MMOs pretty fucking hardcore for a long time and I still have no interest in being in a normal 5 man dungeon for more than an hour, especially a level up (non endgame) instance. |

| Translation: We want to design instanced pieces of shit that can never be compared to Guk or Sebilis, but fear not for you shall only have to endure it for an hour or less.

| I can really see both sides of the coin though. If you get a great group i mean one where everyone is on thier toes, the tank rocks, dps rocks, heals rock. Fuck yeah i want a long ass dungeon with lots of fucking bosses. As we all know if you "pug" those are few and far between. Fuck yesterday i ran an arcatraz normal with a "feral cat dps" and the fucker couldn't do more dps than the tank. The sad thing is...he was geared in at least half dps leather epics. So do i want to spend more than an hour with those fucking special ed kids that can't pull over 300 dps. No fucking way. Yet I may want a chance at an enchant / piece of loot / what ever, but some times you can't afford to be picky at 2am and your pickings are scarce. Go ahead design the 5 mans to be around an hour long. Just make sure that these 10 mans are really fucking good, like, kara fucking good. I'll be happy as can be. |

| Is it really too much to ask for some dungeons of both at level 80? I mean, it's been four years since dire maul, Magister's Terrace is the worst dungeon in the game (hey guys trash that is fucking annoying lol, ZG owned huh), and all of TBC is just linear hallways. Do these people just not care about being interesting or creative anymore?

| They need to make huge dungeons with multiple endbosses and routes (like stratholme). Empasis on the multiple routes though, no corridor -> room -> corridor -> boss -> repeat twice. The path to each endboss takes one hour with a couple of lesser bosses on the route. A crappy pug can do one endboss and leave, but your uber guild group can then go and take out the other stuff with bonus loot for doing so. For example, you kill Balnazzar and Baron Rivendare gets buffed and drops epics as well as summoning undead scarlet crusaders. Or maybe your weapons get a special temporary enchant that makes the undead bit easier? That way you get the best of both worlds. Btw to be fair not everything in TBC is linear hallways, just Auchindoun and Tempest Keep take it too far really. Coilfang/CoT are pretty open and the whole point of Hellfire is that it is linear hallsways (gauntlet event for example). Same for the associated raids, although I have no idea how Black Temple is set out. So for me 2/5 dungeons where like that although I hear that Sunwell is crappy. Still it is very worrying that the direction design is going in is towards linear dungeons.

| "As we all know if you "pug" those are few and far between." I have to disagree with this; I think the horror stories are overstated. I'm guildless, so the vast majority of the groups I form are pick-up groups. They typically do perfectly fine. Bad groups exist, of course, but they're the exception, not the norm. If Blizzard wants to continue making 5-man content excessively casual to the point of dungeons lasting an hour or less (as TBC dungeons normally do), then hopefully the 10-man stuff remains designed on a more complex, longer scale. I still like the thought that winged instances should be interconnected on the inside so a group has the option of spending more time without having to zone out or head elsewhere. Danth |

| I always liked instances that had a "real" feel to them, like SFK. BRD is one of these places as well, but what really, really fucked BRD for me was the absolutely retarded way the (at least Alliance) quests were placed. Onyxia attunement being a perfect example of how not to do shit in the future. Running back and forth and waffling with the fucking fedex quests until you got to the real meat drove me insane. I have zero issues running an instance again for a specific drop, but I like, almost obsessively so, to complete all the quests related to an instance on the first run. Big, rambling instances are okay, and even cool (liked Stratholme lots) but it really depends on how the quests are placed and designed. While some of the TBC instances are too short (2 bosses per instance is just too little, in my opinion), at least the quests were designed with the same linear approach without the expectation that a person would have to clear an instance 3 times to complete a quest line, just because step 2a requires that you have to leave the instance to talk to an NPC just so you can continue your quest inside the instance. |

| Considering the time it takes to do that quest vs all the time alliance players saved just flying to black rock mountain? Fuck them!

| Well, looks like the first F&F patch notes are out on MMO-Champion. They are usually accurate with this sort of leak and the notes themselves are pretty much content-free, so seem authentic anyhow. |
