I guess with PvP balance so perfect now, its time to throw in some new mechanics!
I know this response is old, but I have always thought that Taunt, in PvP, should force anyone that is taunted to not be able to switch targets for 3 seconds and same with fade from priests, but no one can target them (cept for AoE) for 3 seconds.

I posted my disclaimer because some folks have questioned me before about why I so strongly hate four-group-plus content, yet I'm okay with doing 10-man raids. The answer to that is that I don't even consider the latter to be 'raiding' at all.
I'm just saying that you're fooling yourself if you think that the form "x is not y" is not a semantic argument. You can call something whatever you want, but that's not going to change what it is. Instead of stating that you don't like raids, it would be better just to say what characteristics of raids--inherent of otherwisse--that you dislike about them. I do agree with you that there needs to be better progression for group content. The problem is that raid gear trivializes this progression and (better) group gear somewhat trivializes raid progression. The ideal solution would to put different required stats on each set so that group gear isn't very useful in raids and visa versa.

Going by their track record, October will probably be around the time WotLK goes into beta...

That's a little too late I think. Closed beta (invite only but post F&F) is probably going to start around the end of June. The TBC beta was rolling cheerfully for quite a while with various level caps (with no real content ready beyond those caps) and I don't think there's any reason for them to hold off too long. Besides, people will need to screw around with capping off DKs and the usual breaking of stuff. We'll see though once marketing gets into the act.

Open beta, if they even do one, could be much, much later though of course so I guess it depends on which you mean.

Closed beta after the invitational in June, (short) open beta at or soon after Blizzcon. Launch at end of November.

I concur. 4 years after initial release for second expansion. It's about as slow as Blizz generally likes to move.

Now, taking that to 25 is much, much harder and Blizzard has already stated that the best of the best gear will come from that route. I think we all know that the gap between 'best' and 'almost best' is something Blizzard likes to keep very tight however. For those that would rather run with a small tight 10-man group though (or find that the gear-gap is not worth the co-ordination issues), there will be a severe shortage of content.
But again...this isn't the majority of WoW players. I don't think it's a problem. Currently there are 2 10 mans. Only one for a long time after TBC. So having like..3-4..is already twice the content from TBC.

new interview up at eurogamer, here's a tidbit:

Dungeons? I think we have a pretty good idea about how to make dungeons. It's more honing the focus of dungeons to be a one-hour experience.

One-hour dungeons. Are those like a one hour TV episode? Are they putting in commercials for bathroom breaks as well?
