| Mass Resurection In early TBC this was originally listed as a level 70 Paladin ability. I remember trying to speed level my Pally, knewing this jewel was waiting for me at the end. I was disappointed when I got there. ![]() |

Instances are all easier now, level changes have some weight into this, but I think they all got "retuned" so everyone can do them and I mean everyone. I'm levelling a hunter and soloing them on the way, takes ages, loads of ammos and a lot of pet feeding, but it's truly fun to figure out each single pull (and yeah, I die sometimes).

| I don't think it will come out this year. They really don't have to bring out anything at this point since there subs are so high. As most people have said they will probly time the release to destroy Warhammer. That gives them more time to fine tune it and make it better. So its a win/win for everyone.

Either this or SC2 is hitting in 2008. There's no way both will drop. I'm saying Wrath in November, SC2 in April or May.

| I have already seen a dip in wow subs in our guild but as soon as the light at the end of the new expansion tunnel appears they will all come back. I hope they get the expansion out sooner rather than later but I would be lying if I said I was not planning on getting it and playing it when it comes out. |

+21 Internets | I think it's more likely they will release the expansion around November, and then have a big content patch drop whenever Warhammer comes out, maybe even the Icecrown Citadel patch, or something equally cool. Now that all raids are going to be 10-man, raid content patches will be appealing to a huge amount of the player base rather than a small portion. It would probably keep a lot of people reigned in. |

And it's definately true. The summer, people will be playing less, will deactivate and if there isn't something there in the fall to bring them back...they might find something else to do. So I think Blizzard pretty much has to release by the end of the year.

| That Blizzcon timing (October 10/11) just seems really inconvenient for a 2008 release. They don't want Blizzon right after it releases as their programmers will be working on critical bugs (and they won't want to hear about balance changes). But you also don't want to hold Blizzcon while your programmers are in the crunch time month before it releases either. So unless they're printing the discs during Blizzcon for a 10/21 or 10/28 release (and the staff just treats it as a celebratory party to get wasted on the 12th), the timing doesn't make much sense. |

| First off, while reading this post keep in mind that I do not consider 10-man content to be 'raiding'. I'm not trying to start a discussion on semantics, so just keep that in mind as you read the post. Blizzard's announcement that all raid dungeons will now have 10-man versions gives me hope that we'll finally see *progression* available to non-raiding players. That's been one of my long-term gripes with the EQ-style MMORPG--progression was always reserved just for people who liked raiding. That sucks for me, since I most definately do NOT like raiding. In EQ, once you got to the level cap, you either raided or you stagnated in the same zones. Later, in pre-expansion WoW, it was the same story--players who didn't like raiding stayed stuck in Strath/Scholo/BRS for literally the entire duration of their gameplay. Burning Crusade added some small amount of progression with heroic mode and (much later) Zul Aman, but heroics themselves sill don't offer much progression since, generally, if you can do one of them you can do most or all of them. There certainly aren't any tiers in the manner of raiding tiers. They're more accurately described as scenery changes. Hopefully Blizzard keeps the tiered progression system in practice with the 10-man versions of the new raiding zones so that, for once in this genre, players who don't like raiding finally have real progression to look forward to, and thus places to actually use the gear they earn. | I've signed my posts on various internet BBS's for going on fifteen years now, dating back to USENET. I'm not about to stop now. Yes, I know it says my name over on the left. So what. Mail also has my name on the front but I still sign my letters, too. EDIT: For Mist's benefit: If you don't like the way I type my posts, feel free to add me to your ignore list. It's okay--I won't lose any sleep over it. I don't care about the Elitist Jerks forum, don't read it, don't post on it, and have no inclination to do so (I'm uninterested in the high-end raiding which is the focus of their website, just as I did not post here when that was the primary focus of THIS site). Back to your regularly-scheduled thread. Danth Last edited by Danth : 05-15-2008 at 01:11 PM. |
