I wish I had done more in BFD. I soured on it because I tried to run in as a corpse and couldn't get below the water level. Then my friend was like, "Just aim down." I was a fucking moron.

Oh man, lollin pretty hard right now. Don't mean to be one of those EQ WAS BEST EVAR fags but I can't help but laugh at the fact that people think running for a few minutes was a brutal death penalty. Kind of amazing that I thought losing a hour+ of xp and a hour run back to corpse in eq was fine but I used to curse blizzards name everytime I died in DM.

No shit, I feel so spoiled but goddamn if that run from Burning Steppes to Molten Core didn't make me hate freedom.

I remember people dying in the caves in Silithus and them being brought back at the graveyard in the Barrens. Good times.

Heh, had that shit happen to a friend. Ended up logging on my Paladin alt who was in like... Stormwind or something, and running over to res her.

Ugh you just reminded me of the long ass run back to c'thun's room.

But at least I had a cool red bug mount so I didn't mind it too much. Besides At least once a night someone would end up aggroing ouro.

The run back to C'Thuns room if Ouro wasn't dead was fucking brutal. Fuck I hated that shit when we were learning him.

BFD is probably the lowest useage:quality ratio dungeon in the game, it's really sad. Now there's a dungeon that's about 80% linear and still manages to give you a sense of freedom and exploration while you're doing it for the first time.

Ya, BFD and ST are probably the only dungeons that I've never run in full before.

ST was the zone to do when the level cap was 49. Eranikus and MIppo getting combat drinking nerfed. 8(

The only time I've ever managed to get a group to zone into BFD was a 20-man raid with no one over level 20 back in beta. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of otherwise experienced and vaguely knowledgeable players have never done the instance at all, much less completed it.

It was fairly popular (for a horde centric dungeon) back at release on Medivh at least, I did the zone a couple times with pugs about 3-4 days after release easily enough.
