Blizzcon is happening on October 10th & 11th.

Do you think they'd really be able to release in, say, Sep. and get the critical bug fixes in in time to listen to a bunch of goons whine that the class balance isn't the same? Or does this pretty much guarantee we're looking at a early 2009 release, with the attendees looking at Talent Trees and such?

In a perfect world I would hope that blizzcon 2k8 is a release party for WOTLK or says that it will be out for the turkey day rush. In practice I believe it is more than likely an indication we won't see it until january 2k9 which would really blow. That would mean 7 or so month with jack for new content I think at that point I would cancel and resub once they get their thumb out of their ass and publish the freaking expansion.

Indeed, attack&defend was what AV was supposed to be about too, they can't even get that sorted despite endless tweaking. And this new zone is supposed to be non-instanecd (so it probably won't even have balanced numbers).

I hope AoC really brings some quality PvP because WoW is not looking promising at all.

Personally I can't wait until siege weapons are added and you have retards that rush with no support or the even bigger retards who can't figure out how to get out of your own base without crashing into a wall 30 times.

I think it would be entertaining if WotLK was launching the same weekend as Blizzcon - and this was their way of ensuring a stable launch because a ton of the dedicated and addicted players would be at Blizzcon instead of playing. Either that or they'd have a light Blizzcon.

I'm still betting on whenever Warhammer launches. Or January 2009 (whichever comes first)

Actually from what i've read, it's not attack and defend like AV. One side attacks, the other defends. Then when it ends, it switches up.

It's rather nice to switch up roles and everyone is working towards the same direction instead of FFA race AV.

It sounds good on paper but I have my doubts about Blizzard being able to make it fun for longer then a week.

I'll probably bot to 80 like I did to 70 then quit the game until the next expansion comes out or I feel like doing the same PvP battlegrounds over and over again.

For a game that tries to pride itself on its pvp it sure lacks in options.

P.S. here is to hoping Diablo MMO is announced at blizzcon this year.
