If you're a tank or a healer, or you are a little patient, you can still run all the pre-BRD instances with PUGs easily enough. I ran most of them several times leveling up to 60 over the last couple of months.

This was on a high pop server of course, though leveling up on a low pop server is kinda silly.

last boss in ST was level 55...the rest of it was considerably lower though. They nerfed him down to 52 at some point

nm found it

Unholy Embrace

Instant Cast. 5 min cooldown.

Target is embraced by a silhouette of darkness for 6 seconds, corrupting any healing spells and effects cast upon or currently affecting the target to cause damage for 50% of their healing potential instead of restoring health. Any damage shields cast upon or currently affecting the target will also be instantly consumed, dealing 50% of their absorption potential in damage. Once afflicted with Unholy Embrace, the target cannot be afflicted with Unholy Embrace again for 1 minute.

also I might be going insane but some of these spells weren't in the curse article

*
Presences: Much like Paladin Auras or Warrior stances, Presences will be powerful one-at-a-time self-buffs that will probably determine whether the Death Knight is taking on a Tank or DPS role in the group. Worldofwar.net reported on 3 presences, as follows:
*
Blood Presence will increase the Death Knight's DPS and provide a small healing effect when the Death Knight is hit.
*
Frost Presence will increase the Armor and Threat of the Death Knight.
*
Unholy Presence will provide increased attack speed and decreased global cooldown, and is being billed as the PvP presence.(odd, curse says it increases runspeed)
*
Death Coil: It will not fear like the Warlock version, but will act like the WC3 version also used by Death Knights in that game, damaging enemies or healing friendly undead targets.
*
Army of the Dead: This ability will temporarily summon a small army of Undead that will fight for you. It will apparently be channeled, which makes me think it will be closer to an AE attack like a Druid's Hurricane than an actual pet ability.
*
Raise Dead: This will raise an actual nearby corpse, including one of a fallen ally (even in Arenas) to fight for you as a Ghoul. An ally so resurrected will have the option to control their character as a Ghoul. Ghouls will get abilities to cause diseases, stun, and fear among other things, but it seems like they will be temporary pets all the same - at least, I assume PCs will eventually be allowed to resurrect rather than stay slaves of the Death Knight.
*
Grip of Death: Pulls the enemy toward you and forces it to attack you (Probably a taunt effect, though It'd be great if the pulling effect works in PvP).
*
Blade Strike: Attacks the target and applies a disease.
*
Blood Strike: Deals Damage based on how many diseases are on the target.
*
Chains of Ice: Roots a target, then applies a snare that lifts gradually until the target regains full mobility

Unless I'm misreading the description, why would ms be needed? If a heal is cast on you that would heal for 1000, you will just take 500 damage instead.

Most of the vanilla boss levels were a result of early WoW beta when you there was no hit ceiling. Back when frost mages could solo level 58 elites at level 40. Blizzard added the hit ceiling and forgot for almost a year to fix the mob levels.

That's why the zone in trash was level 17 yet Arugal was level 28 for so long.

Embrace I imagine will be dispelable and probably won't work on bosses either. Or at least it'll be nerfed as such after enough people QQ about it.

Therefore MS on the target would actually help the target therefore warriors would actually have to think in PvP therefore Kalgan will not allow them to stack.

Also: Therefore

Or it would deal the full damage plus reduce the heal and be overpowered.

...or it's not a real spell and you guys are dumb for believing it'd ever be in the game.

I'm really hoping though that with the announcement of all of these truly imba abilities that DK's will be getting, that the old Paladin will have a shiny new revamp to look forward to. Fucking DK can dual-wield. Honestly. WTF Blizzard.

Broham that spell was shown at the last blizzcon and was billed was the dk's version of bubble. It will probably be nerfed to hell before release but still, imagine the fun for asshole healers.

Like nef all over again !

Also where did you see they can dual wield? Everything I've seen they can only use 2h, can't even use a shield.

This most recent press says they can DW or 2H

Actually there was nothing in the recent press that talked about DW. It was at the original DK and WotLK announcment at Blizzcon that it was said that DK's can DW. I'm not saying they can't anymore, just that none of the recent press that I saw said anything about it one way or the other.

The grip of death might be cool if you can drag people off roofs/windows/bridges/towers/etc.
