| I know I am asking for it with this, but EvE was a disappointment for me. I tried to do the trial once and was just overwhelmed with how complicated the game was. Then I started reading about it on this board and I wanted a taste of the amazing pvp that was like a giant space soap opera. Once I had trained my toon for about a month and a half I realized that I was never ever going to be anywhere near as powerful as the people that started on day 1. This just totally ruined the game for me. If time in game > skill no matter what you do it makes any sort of upgrade seem pointless. And I have to agree with MxO. I was a huge fan of the movies, but the game was garbage.

| SWG. How could they possibly fuck up the strongest sci-fi IP so badly? I remember whn LucasArts disassociated themselves from SWG prerelease, I just wish they could have pulled the star wars license away also. |

| Everquest 2 Star Wars Galaxies Didn't count Vanguard because I got into the very first phase of beta and it was god awful then. Given I've played a million beta's early on and even SWG phase 1 beta was 10x more fun than Vanguard phase 1 I knew it was doomed and never got too disappointed. |

| Hands down, City of Heroes. Hands down. And believe me I've been let down by the worst - AO, VG, SWG. Here's why: With most of the MMO's that let you down, you see the flaws pretty early on. The letdown is mostly from bugs or not living up to the hype. With City of Heroes, the letdown was a whole different beast. When that game came out, and everyone jumped it, it was pure revelation. Pure, "OMG, holy crap, this rocks, best game ever..." yada, yada, yada. It was seriously pure kickass goodness and you could not stop. Then, around lvl 30, it began to dawn on you and everyone you played with. You've all seen everything, done everything, and it's all just repeating itself. Same mobs, same instances. It's a cave, it's an office, it's the same crap over and over and over and over and over again. And it felt wierd, and uncomfortable because you made all these friends and you all had talked about how much the game rocked and you were never looking back.... and one by one those friends just... disappeared. You started to feel like you were at the tail end of a great party, most everybody had gone home, and what were you still doing there? It got creepy. You had to leave. /shiver CoH was EPIC letdown, really. SO much put into that game. Everything worked.. almost. It was like the most expensive practical joke ever. |

| Shadows of Luclin. Lots of build-up, new graphics, new AA system (came out okay, has its upsides and downsides, and causes new players to bitch, but meh), Bazaar (hi2u delayed product), following on the heels of amazing Scars of Velious... And then it's shit. Someone wrote a lot of good lore and had good plans... and it went to shit.
