| I would have to say pretty much every game that came out after UO,EQ, DAoC and even Asheron's call(Surprised nobody mentioned AC2 yet). There have been a few new things, but for the most part nothing really innovative. It seems that more and more games remove freedom and player choice and instead structure it in a linear fashion. There is no real player to player challenge in the newer games. WoW: Hands down a large disappointment in the PvP realm. Here we have multiple factions with large capital cities that could have been truly epic for combat. WoW really only is a PvE game with the ability to duel. Vanguard: Not even going to bother listing the dream that so many wanted to be. EQ2: It never really "felt" like EQ2. In fact, for the most part they could have called it by another name and it would have done just as well.(Yes they would have had to change mob/zone names as well). EvE: The one game that actually was inovative in a lot of ways. The down side appears to be technology. The epic 100vs 100 combats just cannot happen without lag playing an extremely large part in the fight. I would love to see a new fantasy version of this game, lag willing. I have stopped looking forward to the new games. Sadly it seems of everything coming, I am most interested in the WoW expansion and "Spore". I want to be interested in Warhammer... |

| Horizons was at least playable in its beta. Matrix Online? Whatever. I heard even after release that some of the same bugs that were notorious in beta existed.

| Biggest flop, not the worst game dumm dumm. Vanguard had more hype then all 3 of those games put together, and probly more money invested.

| No mention of Lord of the Rings: Online, yet? I gave it an honest try, I really did. Was blown away by the graphics and I remember telling myself the same thing I told myself when I saw Doom 3. "Man, what a great engine. Someone should make a game with it someday!" I did have a momentary lapse in judgment the other day and tried to give the game I mentioned earlier, EQ2, another try. It was weird, played adictively for an entire weekend then never picked it up again. Kind of a weird little moment. |

| Asheron's Call 2 Killed my interest to join any MMOG alphas or betas and almost killed my interest to whole genre. Fortunately positive feedback from WoW open beta and delayed EU release got me interested of these games again. Untill some other game development team do the same as Blizzard, I probably keep playing WoW. |

| Same. I hyped up a group of about 80 people over 2 years and got them all together in a guild. 2-3 weeks in there were less than 30 people left. Disappointment was my only feeling toward Vanguard, what a shame. |

| Vanguard by far, I prophesized some time ago there would be a game that would return us to the hey days of eq1, and all our hardcore friends would reunite into a single game, and I really thought vanguard would be it. Man was I wrong and my prophecy is falling the hell apart. |

| Mine would have to be Hellgate London, which was a huge disappointment. Compounded by the fact their customer service and general PR painted a picture of them taking a big steamy dump on their whole player base. And Halo 3. I never bought 1 or 2 because I've never been a big fan of FPS games on consoles, but I bought 3 purely on the strength of the omgwtf-hype, and it was so "Meh" that I played it for about 2 hours then never touched it again. MMO wise, after so many years and so many MMOs, I think I always just have low expectations for new releases. It's a good thing.

| Registered User | Vanguard and a game that is currently in beta but that I once thought was awesome but has gotten really boring lately and I am starting to see the flaws. Unfortunately WoW pretty much makes other games look/feel like shit. I never played Horizons or games like that because we all kinda knew inside they would be huge pieces of shit. I expected a lot out of VG and WH though.
