If everyone had to do that to get a pickup game going, there would be alot less pick up basketball.
I know people hate the RL comparisons but I actually did like that. Suppose you could then consider need the right people in the right position the "hardcore raiders"(be that the top zones or beat mount style bonuses) and the pickup plays the lower shit.

Enter Kara! That zone was great...aside from the required tank/heals combo you could pretty much go in there with any scrubs and get at least halfway. Struggle more or less based on how bad people suck, but it was possible(after nerfs). I would love to see WoW advance this idea more.

Make a real easy 10 man, mid 10 man, hard 10 man...then maybe jump to 25 or whatever and do the same thing, easy, mid and hard. This was people with 20, or 25 but not perfect class setups can advance but not max out. Though I think they did the 25 mans rather well in TBC. Two simple 1/2 boss caves, then a few 25 man instances that got harder as you went. I just wish they would flesh out the 10 man thing more also.

I think we all agree that the glaring PvE TBC fuckup was making the raid progression from a 10 man zone to a 25 man zone.
