| My planet map works fine. I can load this d'vonne thing or w/e that switches it from like redridge orange to this nice blue color with spiffy labels. the PF Map is the thing in vorph's top right corner, and to my understanding it is the minimap. I don't know what PF means. |

| Aha, I see now. That's because you're new and don't have that map uploaded to your system. You can buy maps in some shops. But again, I just learned my way around and never really had a need to buy any. |

| PF=Playfield. And I've never seen anything like that, it's almost like something is corrupted and it can't display the image. If you didn't have the map installed (via Map Nav skill) it would be solid black with a message that just says "Map Not Installed" or something like that. At any rate, that should never happen in Rome, because you're given a set of maps before you leave newbie island that cover the next dozen or so areas you're likely to be in. |

| Duppin I quit ARK also on the patch where they completely nerfed Aimed Shot for agents and reflect shields for Soldier, I tried to get them to recover my account but they said they cleaned out all beta accounts. I guess they revamped their entire system? Oh well. |

+2 Internets | I logged on, found my 21 MA on RK1, 50 MA on one of the other servers, tried to set up hotkeys to skills and inventory, and failed at it. It looks like I forgot how to play this game...

| /cc addbuddy <name> And just be glad you're not like me. It seems like every damn time I log in my Fixer I accidentally click something and take off a piece of armor or my weapon that took every buff known to man to equip. Last edited by Vorph : 05-08-2008 at 06:39 AM. |

I logged on my level ~130 Enforcer and the nostalgia started to kick in. Then I, absolutely without thinking, removed my Ql 200 beam....... Then the memories of getting doc buffs, fixer buffs, skill implants, med implants for the skill implants et all came back. I haven't logged on since ![]()

| Yeah, I actually removed my Fixer's SMG about a year ago, and spent an afternoon trying to get a new MCS made and equipped, since I could theoretically go another 20-25 QLs past what I had. I didn't even get past the tradeskill step so I gave up until last week, and still have no desire to use that character as anything but a mission blitzing whore. Fixers are one of the worst classes you can play unless you at least upgrade your account to SLoob status, or you don't ever plan to get past 100. Last edited by Vorph : 05-08-2008 at 07:41 AM. |

| Beginning quests for Omni side: Mr. Blake quest - nice back / helm items. Make sure to have the alcohol with you for the quest turn in. You'll get the additional helmet reward. I can't find the quest for it, but there is a guy in Omni Trade that will give you armor for rollerrat fleshes. Each flesh is worth 1 piece of armor. All you have to do is ask for the quest and you can keep declining it until you see the reward armor piece of your choice. 6 rollerrat fleshes = a full suit of armor (2 arms, 1 chest, 1 leg, 1 hand, 1 feet). Rollerrat's can be found in missions or outside Omni Entertainment. You can also level around this area to get a few levels, but I suggest working on missions when you have the backpack and armor quests done. The armor / backpack should last you until level 20+ish. I don't think Clicksaver has been mentioned yet, it's an incredibly useful program used for helping you locate specific missions. Great for trying to find weapons / nano's. |

Man, I feel your pain. I assume you are talking about GA and some perenium. And... clicksaver is the best ever.

Another thing everyone should do right away is go buy a full Omni Med-Suit for the treatment/first aid buff. I wear that instead of Newcomer's Armor until around level 20; stims and treatment kits become full heals with skills maxed out that much. The med-suit is cheap enough that rolling missions for it is a waste of time when you could be finding your QL10 Concrete Cushions or nanos instead. And sadly, no, I never managed to get GA, at least not at a QL that would've been worth using. | |
