Orgs are very much into recruiting these days. I hadn't been logged in with my freshly reactivated 200 Doctor for more than 5 minutes before I had a fellow talking up his org with me, in real english with no "lol u wnt glld plz lol" crap!

I was also astounded to get a tell from a level 212 adventurer saying they wished they had my helmet, the GPH. That seems to still be an uber item and I got mine in 2003 or 2004.

I just logged into my 167 agent for the 1st time in like 4 years and the 1st tell I got was from someone trying to buy my HPO off me lol.

So like, how does the map work? I get to Rome and this chick there tells me to look at my map and find this stuff. I open it, and it shows me nothing discernable. It's a brown mess of dark and darker shades. Did the install get borked or am I doing something wrong?

As far as the planet map goes, go here and get CSPMap.

If you're talking about the ctrl+6 minimap, I have a weird issue with that too... my MP's is usually very dark and nearly impossible to see, but the Trader's is fine.

I assume I'm speaking about the minimap. I haven't gotten into the hotkeys for each window yet. I access it on the bottom right corner of the UI. Speaking of which, are there any complete UI mods that are worthwhile? This thing is plenty modular, but little things like vertical HP bars are annoying.

I haven't tried any custom UIs, because everything I found seemed to be from 15.x and long since broken with the latest client. I did find that there is a hell of a lot more you can do with the default UI since last time I played and it's really not too bad anymore. Getting rid of the icon-based shit in favor of actual text goes a long way in usability imo, and I always hated that strip on the right side of the screen that they stuff everything into.

I wont be able to start up a guild as soon as I'd like due to internet issues at my new residence. I'll be installing cable internet and have a much faster connection within the week, so hopefully I can get some things going then. Does anyone have a ventrilo server we could use? Server RK-1, Omni side. We've got a good sized group going so far. For the newcomers, you pick which side you're on at the very beginning of the game. Either after you pass the alien invasion island, or when you start inside a building. I'm not sure how the free accounts work.

PF = Planet field? I think you're looking at the planet map, so it wont show the inner city. I think you need to right click on your map and change it to the different setting. I don't know, I memorized the cities so I didn't need to rely on maps.
