lol in a guild I used to be in there was a female player warlock. Stay at home mom, two young kids, early 30's, no previous game experience before WoW. She was a Grand Marshal.

The guild I'm currently in (tiding it over till WotlK...) which is a Tier 5 entering Tier 6 content is primarily composed of people who are 25+. I think at least half of our Priest core are moms with young kids.

I knew many women like that during my MMO career. Hearing their kids/babies screaming in the background on Vent and knowing how unbelievably poorly they were caring for their children made me want to punch so many of those stupid bitches in the ovaries that I lost count over the years.

A solid 40%+ of the really aggressive PvP'ers in L2, WoW, AoC, etc. guilds I've been in were also females. I wouldn't automatically draw conclusions from hearing kids/babies screaming in the background. My kids love to watch me play WoW and will sit on the desk, jump on my chair, try to talk over me if I talk on vent, etc; and that is with my wife home and supervising them. When they were smaller the wife would sit in the room with me and talk and we'd watch some womanly shows while I raided or whatever, and the babies cried sometimes; certainly didn't mean they were neglected.

Babies screaming in the background for *HOURS* is neglect. Many of us on Vent telling her to take care of her damn kid(s) and her clearly indicating that she didn't give a shit and "getting purples in MC was more important" is neglect. Nice try on the smart-ass remarks, kids.

I knew templar in EQ2 who did exacly that. Pretty much whenever you'd see her character online outside of an instance, it was one of her kids harvesting shit for her.
