There is NOTHING wrong with any of the above scenarios happening as a result of keeping your PR permanent. Either add it to the list up there, or don't bother doing any of them, because it won't fix shit.

Also, it's gonna be funny when the number 1 team on a BG can't buy shoulders because their BG isn't competitive enough to support a 2200 rating in that bracket.

No, the problem is it become possible for a person to permanently exclude himself from PvP on a character. If you tank down to ~1200, for whatever reason, you're done with PvP on that char. No team will take you, they don't want to carry you all the way up from there.

hell I see people with the challenger title and season 3 weapons all the time at our groups mighty ranking of 1450. My group has mostly pve specs so we probably belong in the 1450 to 1500 range but damn its disheartening going against fully decked out season three folks we have no chance against as often as we see this.

One simple fix is to make personal rating just that your personal rating. It only should reset when a new season starts. At least this way it should help keep the bored maxed out people from slumming and selling ratings.

Hell I would also not be unhappy to have it so you can only join one team per season. It would be a lot nicer if once you joined a team they are your team not constantly disbanding to reset your damn rating to 1500 cheese fest that currently exists.

To clarify, are S3 items going to continue to be for sale on the arena vendors with no reqs other than wep and shoulders?

If so, there is something to buy.... however, what happens to the queues when you everyone has their S3?

You can't buy Vet's gear now...who's to say that you're gonna be able to buy Vindicators once S4 starts? It doesn't specifically state that Vindicators will still be available for purchase, and there's no precedent for that to be the case either.

Because that would be fucking logical.

If we wanted logic, we wouldn't have fucking rickshaw rocks. Or a LFG tool that doesn't work. Instead, we need convoluted, half assed workarounds to everything that just make it more difficult to engage in exploitative behavior instead of eliminating it.

It's basically like if you had a situation where if you jumped 3 times consecutively, you could fly, and they just fixed it so you had to jump 5 times, but could still fly.

Make personal rating last the entire season, match teams based on PR average or team score, whichever is higher, and award points based on PR or team score, whichever is lower. Ta-da.

Note that this means if you have a 1000 PR and reset your team to 1500, you'll only get the points of a 1000 pr team but you'll be facing 1500 competition. You'd be better off staying at 1000 and working your way back up by winning. Losing endlessly won't be as viable. (Sorry Zehn)
