Doing Arena = Getting arena gear. Even if you lose 10 games a week, should you have better gear than someone who plays STRICTLY in BG's and is outfitted entirely in that shit? I'd like to think so. More participation should equal more reward, and right now losing your way to gear in BG's is exactly equal to losing your way to gear in the arena for 2-3 gear slots. That's kinda fucked up. Second of all, 2k rating is not easy to attain unless you buy it or win trade. Seriously. When are all of you 2k+ cocksuckers going to understand this? There can be no 2k rating WITHOUT THE PEOPLE BELOW YOU. What if everyone wasn't horrible or cared about the arena? Would everyone have shoulders? NO. The system is DESIGNED TO PREVENT THAT. Do we need to pull up the fucking tournament realm arena page? All of those people thought it was worth forking over money to play there, surely they must all be capable of getting 2k rating right? Jesus fucking christ, quit fucking rambling on because you're at 2k rating and the people at 1700 are somehow 2 social classes lower than you. It has exactly zero fucking relevance on anything.

| The rationale that people that do dungeons have better gear than those who solo? The rationale that people that raid have better gear than those who do dungeons? The rationale that playing on an even playing field in a competitive environment should yield more rewards than sitting in the fucking cave in AV? |

Shit was easy as hell. Its more just finding partners that aren't crap, then finding the actual time to play when good people are queueing instead of shit 5 point games. Breaking 2200 in any bracket is when things get interesting, 2k+ just means you have a concept of how WoW PvP works, and have the gear as well.

In fact, as time goes on, raids get easier, not the inverse. This is due to gear increases from secondary sources (badges, pvp) as well as raids themselves get nerfed. Arenas are in the inverse. As time goes on, it's harder to reach higher rating. You have to achieve higher levels of gear, players get better over time

| It just got 15% easier to fail your way to S3 gear. Kael is 2 tiers behind current top PvE gear and still presents a greater challenge than obtaining gear that is 1 tier behind current top PvP gear. Your analogy doesn't work.

First, not all classes can faceroll their way to 2k. I've decided that you can tell who the good Mages and Hunters are because they have current season shoulders. You can tell who the horrible rogues/druids/warriors are because they don't. Second, server pvp population also plays a part. Season 1 and 2 I was on a solid 2k+ rated 5v5 team. I moved servers, and then pretty much all the guys on my team retired from the game. I since have had little luck finding 4 other people that are reliable and will all log on at the same time even one night a week. As a Mage that means now I'm basically looking for a decent rogue for 2v2, or a rogue and priest for 3v3 (although I've tried out all manner of combos). At this point, I am just waiting to see what Bliz manages in WoTLK but I think they will never be able to balance the classes properly for PvP while factoring in PvE elements, so we're always going to have facerolling, EZmode classes and combos. I just realized the other night how much I miss PvP in Ultima Online. The skill-based system meant everyone was pretty much on par with one another, so it was more about skill than about playing the class with 1001 cheesemode abilities.

| I dunno, I literally did 5's with ~15 different people in S3 and we always maintained a 2k+ rating even with some facerollers in there. I think alot of it is just knowing a basic strategy for each team you come across, and with people being unoriginal mouthbreathing fucks, they stick with the same team comps forever and think "HAY MAN IF THIS TEEM CAN DO 2400 WE KAN 2" edit: Jesus christ, Draka is a SERVER? I'm sorry ![]() |

| so i suck at pvp because im not willing to spec disc and find a rogue to rape with? I'm a pvp specced spriest, my partner is a pvp boomkin. We are not a good comp, with two rather poor pvp specs. Do we care? not really. We are good at pvp'ing but we are NEVER going to stand up to certain comps. Ironically we absolutely rape War/Dru.

| I'm soso at pvp (mostly battleground exp) and my wife is as well for the heck of it we formed a 2 person arena team. first time ever trying it, 10 matches we were 2 wins 8 losses (mostly due to learning what to use what we cannot use etc.) kinda crappy like we expected, but we lost the first 6 matches, then went 2 and 2 on the last 4 and almost went 3-1 (my fault i had the wrong weapon equipped or we had it) i am an restore spec shaman, and she is a beastmaster (mostly) specced hunter.. we lost handily to warrior/priest combo, warrior druid, paladin druid, but we absolutely destroyed any team that had a warlock in it...(2 of them in fact)- the almost win was warrior druid combo-if i had the right weapon equipped we would have won most likely, my wife's char puts out in excess of 500 DPS constantly(without pet-with pet it's ~700dps) (she does need to get a better bow though-she is debating on upgrading to the pvp one, she is just using the one from ogri'la-still- she HATES slow weapons.) oh and my weapons SUCK...(not using any pvp weaponry personally- yet, that is my next purchase- a season 2 axe...be a 20dps upgrade just base damage for me) |
