One of the easiest ways to see how survivable a warrior is. How many fotm 2v2s that are double dps involve a warrior? How many involve rogues? Mages? Shadow priests? ret paladins?

Warriors are awesome when paired with a healer. Otherwise they are easy to kill and/or do nothing.

Warriors don't work so great in double DPS because they don't offer any CC.

People still hit 2k with Warrior/Mage and Warrior/Warlock though.

I admit I haven't played as much as the hardcores...but I've never seen a 2v2 without a healer with a warrior. I have seen some weird combos. But never that.

Anyway. What I really want to bitch about is the god damn fucking retarded as shit fix that went in with the average rating games. My personal rating is now 40 off from my team rating after last week. Fought a war shaman 3 times, won once, lost twice. First win, got 28 points..but only 15 personal rating. Two losses for 3 and 4, but lost 15 personal each time. It's fucking retarded. It slowly balances out but it takes for fucking ever.

Okay, I've been wondering this (and I'm probably going to sound dumb) but what is "gib"? I keep reading that word on the Arena Junkies website, and I can't figure it out for the life of me.

It a term that was coined early in Quake(or whatever one of the first Multiplayer FPS's was...)?

It means to kill. It's more in reference to the act of blowing someone up with something like a rocket launcher. A giblet is a chunk of someones body. Gibbing is the act of blowing someone up into giblets. Or at least that is my understanding.

Vinen is correct. Giblets was the term for the little pieces that result when you blow someone up. So gibbing them is reducing someone to giblets.

It's actually a very old word for edible parts of the chicken besides meat, such as livers and stomachs. Yummy!

Beginning of season 3 we had a Warrior/Feral Druid wreck Rampage for awhile, they had saved up a ton of points and were way ahead gear wise. Maybe Rampage sucks ass, but they could drop kids w/ the quickness.

I'm rather inexperienced in the Arena and I'm curious, what are the relative durations of fights for 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5, at least in relation to each other?

A Warrior/Druid comp can take 10+ minutes almost every time if both teams are fairly skilled in 2's. I'd imagine 5's last no where near that and 3's the same. The higher you go into your bracket the longer the fights would last I'd imagine. I only play "gib" teams, and never go above 2,300 for the same reason. So I wouldn't know about the "end game" part of the brackets.

I don't use the word gib anymore, though I still use cratered.

Sorry if it was covered, don't want to read 26 pages, but did they say what would happen to S1 gear? Is S2 being bumped down to S1 prices and S1 being bumped off entirely?

Yes, S2 will be purchasable with honor when S4 comes out. I haven't heard any definite mention of the honor prices for S2 gear but I would guess that the price of an individual S2 piece will be the same as for the equivalent S1 piece this season.

From what I can tell, this means S1 will be bumped off entirely, but it will still be possible to get the gear via t4 tokens, I'd imagine.
