Anywho..my druid is 62 now. 8 more levels and I get to look forward to doing this whole arena thing that sounds less and less appealing with all this bitching about the way it currently works. Is anyone still having fun with arenas? (BTW, my previous analysis of my playtime proved to be way off. Apparently when you're really having fun in the game with your RL friends - you play a whole hell of a lot more then you thought you had time for...)

| I actually have the most fun trying to take strange combos to higher rankings. I recently did RetPal/SHS Rogue early in S3 before RetPals became FoTM, it was fun figuring out a combo that wasn't widely known. |

| WoW is not like most other MMOs. I have yet to meet a single person in WoW since the beta that I would want to spend any time at all with. The exception being members of my old guild, which was freaking FoH. The people who play this game are terrible. You have to hold on to old relationships from past games like grim death or you'll be miserable and alone. Also, WoW might as well be a single player game in a lot of respects. Shit, I can't even get in pugs most nights in prime time because there are simply not enough people LFG. People in this game are just not accustomed to needing to group to advance. The reason why BGs are so terrible is because it is the only route to solo obtained purple text. BGs are full of people who don't care about PvP at all, they just see it as their only way to advance their characters. It's also easier and faster than getting badge loot. |

+2 Internets | I know of a few who find it fun. Those people, though, are of the 450+ resilience, wearing mostly S3 gear variety. Or they're resto Druids (not knocking them as I actually have one myself, just saying...) |

Our schedules only mesh up 1 or 2 days a week, but we make a point to not fuck around on those 2 days and get a Kara run in, or some 5's, or some heroics. Solo/Small group shit can wait for other times.

While I could understand the "not giving a fuck cause it's a game" mentality, I just can't understand how one can have multiple 70s scattered on various servers in various guilds and think it's normal. I lead a small casual guild, so far I recruited a grand total of 1 worthwhile person (the rest is more group/raid fodder) and I didn't find it in WoW, but in EQ2, then we all moved together. Most of my guild is made of people I play with since 2002, it gets difficult to get into something different from our clique.

+22 Internets | Are you still on BDF Torrid? That shit is totally server dependent. Go someplace like Mal'Ganis and you see people forming up for everything from 10 and 25 man raids to full AV premades all day long. BDF? A bunch of fucking battleground soloers. You can't fucking buy a group on BDF. People from a server like Mal'Ganis would be lost here. You can /who every dungeon on BDF and see a handful of groups. I still have half of the instance quests because no one ever goes to places like Shattered Halls or Botanica. Hell you are lucky if it takes less than a few hours to form up for the daily dungeon. And BG premades? There might be one running. Our luck with picking servers is shit. |

+22 Internets | Warcraft Census - is the only one I know of. BDF is in the middle for horde pop, which makes me feel the pain of the truly low pop servers. |

+2 Internets | Middle Pop is actually the worst, because with Low Pop you at least get a strong sense of community. Middle Pop is just enough people that you are always running into strangers, but not enough people that you are gonna find a satisfactory number of strangers aligned with your interests. Generally speaking, of course. |

Of course, on another PvP server I played on for a couple of months, the only Horde raid guild was called "SHARKS WIT LAZERS PEW PEW." So there are indeed worse fates than BDF.

| Jesus. Nearly 23,000 horde on Mal'ganis and not even 8000 Alliance? That must suck to be Alliance. I luckily found a nice balance on Skywall; it's PVE, but at this point I fucking hate PVP servers after playing them for 2 years. |
