They could reformulate the point structure so that good teams would only be able to get all that seasons gear approximately by the end of the season. Thus, incentive for people to play all out for an entire season and not ever want to sell rating to players that will bring their rating down. Bad teams would get less gear over a season, as they should, and the epics would actually seem a little more epic.

Mostly, they need to find a new focus in this game for pvp other than arena. New battlegrounds, an RvR setting with interesting world pvp rewards, something.

The old honor system was absolutely the most retarded system ever devised by man. And take it from someone like me who actually wasted months of his life obtaining Grand Marshal rank. Any person who took joy having to log in every day for a solid 6 weeks playing at least 80+ hours per week is a fucking masochist. You simply couldn't do anything else because of the deteriorating honor system. And before they allowed it where several could obtain r14 a week, there were many who were cockblocked for weeks to months against obtaining that rank.

In '06 you whined how things should be made hard. In '06 you whined how it would be unfair to let the average Joe get great gear. In '08 you now whine how things should be made easy. In '08 you now whine how it would be unfair to not let the average Joe get great gear. I swear to God you are a truly stupid human being.

There was a nervous breakdown, a suicide attempt after a divorce and two firings from place of employment of various people who were rank 13 after rank 14 that I'm aware of.

Old system kicked ass in THAT aspect I guess.

I just sell khorium power cores on my bank character atm. I did start playing the stock market more instead. Been kicking ass. Potash and Oil for the win. Did suggest FRP in another thread in the 7s. Is in the 9s. If any listened, sell in the 10s and smile.

Well another difference is that shammy was something alliance could play with pre-tbc. A whole new class with mechanics we have never seen before (rage, energy, mana) I think will get most people to at least roll one for shits and giggles. On opening day I imagine DK starter area will be unplayable.

Just be happy they never stuck it out with the first version of the honor system when it came out which forced you to keep the rank you had to even use the gear. That would have been complete chaos.
