[EQ] WoD On FV Recruiting Thread.

Yes, i got permission to make this thread in an effort to save it from the shaw before page 2.

Wake of Dawn is a Semi serious raiding guild on Firiona Vie Server, we've got a solid guild base with 99% less drama than last years FV EQ guild. We're just starting up raiding now with raids in late PoP to early PoR, with hopefully TSS-TBS+ in the future.


Right now we've got about 20~ level 75s who can make it to raids, and about 30 more people in the low 50s to high 60s that will be raiding with us soon. But we're always looking for more. We plan to open recruitment to anyone on the server who wishes to apply but we'd like to get as many FoH lurkers as we can.

We don't care what you play, and we don't want you to play a class you won't enjoy. We have no AA requirements to raid and the only level requirement is the bare minimum to get into the zone. We just need warm bodies.

If you're interested in rolling on FV and joining WoD, head to our website at Wake of Dawn - FV Server, register and maek post. If you're already on FV and not in the guild, send any officer a tell and we'll get you in as soon as possible.

What we could use for raiding right now is:

Lots of Clerics
3-4 Wizards
1-2 Warriors
2-3 Druids
1-2 Paladins
1-2 Shadowknights
1-2 Rangers
1-2 Beastlords
3-4 Enchanters
2-3 Rogues/Monks
And maybe a couple bards and shamans to round things out.

Basically any class you want to play we need.

We spent some time in CoA getting spanked by keldovan tonight, 3 clerics just aint enough. Then we moved to Qvic and hit up the Msha's and some other hard to spell named. Fabled fucked us over for targets today. We got PoTime Saturday and Anguish again Monday.

I don't play EQ anymore but wish ya guys the best of luck heh. I can not imagine it is a easy task getting a raid guild up and running at this stage of the game.

Its kinda tough trying to estimate what your raid force is going to be able to handle, especially when i haven't raided anything past PoP personally. I got voted raid officer and im trying to get everything up and running though.

Trying to keep expectations real and let people see content they wanted to see back in the day but never had the chance.

curious, do they allow xfers to fv? I know it was RP or whatever back in the day so i figured I'd ask. I had a 75 pally with I don't remember what gear. I know it was ikkinz/uqua shit. Where can i look that up if i can? My old magelo was never updated when i resubbed for tss.

Since this is a general forum recruitment thread and you're looking for new people to roll up on a new server, at very least you should mention FV ruleset for those unfamilar with it, but have or currently playing EQ.

You may get more bites if you mention new players with some guild 'friends' can twink up very very well on here. Just about everything trade-able so twink til it hurts. =)

I've played a long time ago, so unless I'm thinking of someplace else or things have changed, if it's different then standard EQ, it would benefit some people to know that beforehand. Sure if you join, you'll discover it plenty fast anyways.

And if this is false and I'm mistaken then just ignore my post... EQ quite a ways back in my old memories by now. =)

Not sure how many people are aware about leveling speed anymore.

Solo you should make it to 50+ where you can start grouping with most members in a few days played.

If you have the ability to power level nowdays you can be 55 in 4-6 hours.

Most items on FV are tradeable. You can walk into the bazaar and buy almost any item that drops in the world. At lvl 1 it's possible to pickup many items that were put into game before recommended lvls.

Everyone here keeps saying this, but don't you need...ya know, money? If people are coming back to the game and starting on a new character, how are the supposed to buy anything?

How can you solo until level 50 now? Did they make mobs easier? Also, what's up with the revamped charachter models? If they revamped all of the models, I'd probably still be playing.

You buy a shitload of plat like we did last year.

Between the entire guild last year, people probably bought like $2,000 worth of plat.

I've still got an equipped level 70 berserker on FV, but I don't feel much like fooling with EQ again.

What do you need to get current on EQ? I lost my disks long ago, but if I got the Titanium edition (or whatever the last bundle was) would I be up to date, or have there been expansions since then?

Just buy Secrets of Faydwer, the newest expac. It comes with any previous expansion you may not have.
