I'm almost 70 with my new WoW project and was looking to start playing EQ again on off-nights.

still raiding, gonna try moving on to DoD/PoR raids soon. Fathers day has slowed us down a bit but we'll get back going soon.

I guess some things will never change. SOE brought EQ down for a 6 hour patch today. What notice did they give? It seems 13 minutes beforehand a GM broadcasted ingame

I got the zerker to 80 at last, some of the Crystallos stuff is nuts. I've got a 555hp after evolving belt and a 525 hp neck etc. Unfortunately i think I have shafted myself a little, aa xp in fire has gone to shit at castle 1 and castle 2 isnt very soloable for me yet. I tried DSH and a couple of other places, it looks like I can only really group for a decent rate now, whoops

Thanks for the heads up at least regarding that. I want to get 76 to open up new AAs but afraid paw/fire will have a drop in the exp it gives too. The gear and weapons at 80 is cheap as hell, but I can't find a real reason to go past 76 at the moment since I'm still in need of hundreds of AAs ;./

it wasnt a patch. it was an emergency update for technical issues (that was written on the message)

Oh okay, i went afk to get some munchines and came back to 2 logged out sessions and the only message I could find was someone on the tech forums complaining about the 13 minute warning.

As of right now, the only official info i can see on the eq forums is a statement that all servers are down for a game update and will be back up around 18:00 gmt. The patch notes :

Anyone recommend a decent solo spot for low 60's? I've got decent gear, around 5k with my small self buffs, but groups are few and far between it seems so I'm looking at soloing to about 70 or so. Akheva is all light blue now, as is Nadox, and Riwwi just destroys me, so hotzones are out I guess =\

I used to be against the light blue stuff as well, but honestly the speed at which you kill them will make up the difference in killing something darkblue. My advice would be to keep soloing deep in nadox, I have seen people go as high as 70 in there.

Anyone have some advice on things to do in DoN, DoD, PoR that 1 group could handle for some good augs/loot?

Very right about the hotzone Light blues. Was in BoT and was taking 2 light blue kills per % of normal xp at 71 & 72.

I forgot the name of the mission but if your group average is level 69~ there a DoN mission that gives 39 crystals, around 1 AA @ level 70, and only takes about 30 minutes or so to do with a good group. Has a few random drops that were pretty good too.

Doesn't drop any augs itself though but you can rack up crystals quick and the merchants had plenty of good Augs/loots and even if you don't use it to buy them the crystals still sell pretty good.

Hmm, I need piles of those crystals for spells still. Do people do PUG for those missions at all, or you gotta bring your own?

if you want to do them consistantly you'll have to bring your own. The off PUG might do them from time to time (hell I did a LDoN the other day) but you'll find them about once a month.
