The low levels are barren on all servers i've played on. Lookup the hotzones and try to level in those, usually get a few people leveling in each zone and more often than not they're willing to duo up.

Hahahaha.

No shit.

Nobody even wants to do that crap today, when he's doable with a group, for the BiC.

I couldn't guess how many BiC's are stuck on his step.

we did him with about 22? people, first attempt was a horrible wipe, second attempt took about a half hour and involved a cleric kiting him around the room on about 7 occasions. Was a fun well deserved victory, but i don't plan on doing him ever again.

Alright.

I can't decide if it's worth it to reroll on FV or to just keep playing my 70 cleric on another server.

If you really want to hang out with FoH people and/or want to play around with the idea of most items being tradeable, then those would be the only real reasons to do it imo. Also keep in mind that if you invest a lot of time into a character here and end up deciding the server isn't right for you, transferring off is not an option.

On another note, could somebody here please recommend via PMs what the cheapest source of plat would be? Thank you.

How is the population on FV though? Would I be joining a nearly dead server? If so, I'll just stay on AB or transfer back to Bristlebane. I can't find any information online that is less than 4 years old on the population of FV.

Honestly I can't comment on how it compares to other servers, but as general markers:
-there are USUALLY about 170-200 people in General
-doing a /who all for various spans of 1-50 will generally never give you a "too many players" message as it will for example on Stromm (I'd estimate less than 80 people on in that range at any time, although I could be way off)
-there are usually less than 6 people in any given hot zone, BoT included (although I've only seen them up through BoT) - obviously, sometimes you will find a couple of groups in a zone
-there are usually less than a dozen people LFG

I would actually be very interested in how these metrics compare to other servers, especially Stromm. While I feel like I've invested a lot of effort into getting to 58, I suppose it's not entirely too late to restart on another server if it would be a much more social experience.

We've been plowing through Tacvi lately, 2 bosses left. 60% on Tunat'Muram's second form on our first attempt.

We do pretty good for 18-24 man raids.

Lol yeah it was definitely disenchanting in a way. I played during Velious as well and we were the second guild behind FoH to down AoW and it was always crazy. Remembering 60+ people die to him constantly while I was soloing was odd. But other classes did it over a year ago, I just never heard of beastlord so I thought it was cool. Although my shadowknight had better gear/aa's and had a harder time doing it than my bst, he failed multiple times actually.

It won't be long before a cleric solos all of Potime. I think they'd be the only class able to go faster than the timers by ae. I think Quarm would actually be pretty easy for them.

What technique did you use to solo AoW? Melee for a while / pet tank / heal yourself / then go back in, repeat?

Before I quit (after playing for a whole week) a few weeks ago, we killed him with level 80 mage's water pet tanking, level 72ish cleric chealing the pet, and a level 80 necro.

It took a pretty good while, maybe 15 minutes. Mage pet probably did 80 percent of the damage if not more.

Took me 20-25 minutes. I'd back off and heal at 40% or so and then go back in without healing pet, who'd be full again by himself when I needed to back off again. If not I'd cast a 0.1 sec promised renewal on him. Don't really need much of a strategy with a super focused 80 bst pet and focused paragon of spirits (and the aa's and gear of course.) My mana regen is something ridiculous like 90 or more. 25 from items, 10 or so from aa's, 15 from beastlord buff, 5 from werewolf, 9 from item, natural, etc. Combine that with focused paragon and it's just an endless supply of mana. I solo'd him more than a few times and was always high mana at the end.

Aaryonar gave me many more problems than AoW. The Luclin bosses were all easier than both (cept Creator), specially cursed who was always a massive snorefest.

Anyone want to buy such a beastlord!?
