| Finally, the retarded prices last year made me skip. That and everyone and their mother had a convention, was cheaper to go to blizzards convention than sony. Hope to take the FG this year, maybe meet up with some old guildmates FINALLY after like 4 years... |

| I went to one of those a few years back. Drinking the Warp Core Breaches in Quark's Bar in the basement of the Hilton with a bunch of EQ guildies was fucking bad ass. I stopped going to these things when they fired Saiphos (old Veeshan GM) as the main Fan Faire host. Also, just a note to anyone who might go that has not before. On the last night of the FF that I went to, SOE held an event across the street from the Hilton one night and picked up the tab for everyone alcohol. GO GO open bar. Of course, that was back in the day when EQ's subs were at their peak. I'm sure they couldn't afford such expenditures these days.

| Thinking about going...both my friends who went didn't really love it but I'd like to say I've gone to at least one. Maybe this year's the year.

| +Internets can now be exchanged for free original thought potions! | Went about 4 years ago and had a pretty good time. Stayed away from the "Official" events with the exception of the dinner/auction. On a "Anyone going has to try this" note, in the Hilton, where the convention is, their is a Star Trek themed bar called "Quark's Bar". Go in and order either a "Warp Core Breach" or a "Borg Sphere", these massive $30 drinks that were meant to be shared. I remember being inside thinking "Were at a video game convention, eating at a Star Trek bar, and discussing Dr. Who and AD&D. Jesus, this is Nerd Nirvana." |

+1 Internets | I've never been to Vegas nor a SoE fan faire (did attend the DAoC one in Washington, DC way back in 2002) so this in intriguing. Sounds more fun though if you are meeting a bunch of guildies. |

| I can confirm that Quark's Bar is fucking sick. I took the gf there about 6 months ago. We got so fucked up that she fell down walking to the bathroom. Our klingon waitress had to help her up. Guaranteed good time.
