| I don't quite agree with that. Maybe 2 expansions out would be good, but I remember being in Luclin when PoP was released, and there was still a lot of progression to do, which kept the guild in line. Basically what you'd have is a giant shuffle of the middle-tier guilds every time a new high end expansion was released. 2 expansions, though, and it would allow people to catch up to the middle-tier guilds fairly quickly, and then they could "learn" raiding/gear up with the middle-tier before apping to high-level guilds. I think it would keep the hierarchy stable without ruining the ability for people to catch up. |

| Is there even a point to having level requirements for zones that old in a game that is barely relevant in the market now (in its current incarnation)? Is anyone gonna care if someone levels a twink in long-dead PoP zones these days? It made sense when those zones actually mattered. But now it doesn't. |

| This will do 2, maybe 3 things.... 1.) Allow players or guild guinely wanting to do some old zones but unflagged etc to try them(ie a mid level guild that never did time but wants to try it...and no they couldnt just do that anyway without flagging elementals, which may not be up and so forth). 2.) Allow people to play/explore/xp in various zones that used to be locked. 3.) Allow all the current top raiders who did not raid in the days of old to go back to said raid zones and perma-farm them with 2-3 friends. I suspect 3 will be the biggest edge of grief. Overall the change is good. It removes a lame timesink that didn't really need to exist anymore and let's people poke around in previous taboo areas. The one downside I see is one that already plagues the rest of the game which is perma-farming by the ubers. I would love to see anyone find an old mob up from old dragons, to old luclin mobs to even stupid 1 group bosses that spawn in umbral planes like Tawro and Radir. Everything is camped for good. Even the fucking shit that drops NO DROP/NO TRADE items are perma-dead. It sucks for anyone of appropriate level looking to do that. My opinion is that this is perfect for opening up locked decent xp zones for people during some shitty levels, but the real story is that it just gives ubers more shit to perma-camp on off hours, no one else will get to see or kill any of this shit. And that's not really just bitching cause I was once a dick like such, its just the nature of EQ. |

It would be nice if they gave a cool title or something to people who did/do the key quests but come on...complaining about it 7 years later is sort of retarded. People cry way to much.

| Between the AA change and the removal of flags the game got a whole lot more appealing for many of the reasons that WoW is so appealing - the ability to actually feel like you can move forward regardless of playtime. |

Breaking out spreadsheets of items and their spawn locations, ringing your friends for help and advice. Checking to make sure no one else is already camping it. All to spend 20 hours for a key that begs the question from any non-MMO player: Uhh, can't someone else's key open it for you too? Who knew work wasn't fun? It's a no-brainer change (for the most part). The whiners won't be happy until they're on a server with 19 other people all high-fiving each other as they break for Funions and Mountain Dew after another 40 hour session.
