+71 Internets | The tightest spot in wow I can think of is the cave leading to BFD, so yeah. And to derail even further, I hate UE3. More specifically, I hate the fucking bright white plastic sheen on any model thats standing in shadow. The specular mapping used on models SUCKS ASS. In Bioshock they made it glow purple instead and it looked somewhat artsy but was still horribly distracting. It made Gears of War look completely retarded. It was driving me crazy in CoD4 until I found out that thankfully it was the only one of the games that allowed you to specular off for models without losing it everywhere else. The game is improved a hundred times over by doing so. And yeah, I look forwarding to killing random name of random place and scoring the mighty prefix item type of suffix Last edited by Kreugen; 04-11-2008 at 08:38 AM.. |

| Giving this a bump in hopes people who don't know about the game will take a gander. I personally thought the intro was fantastic; is there a beta going on right now?

+4 Internets | Info on PvP flagging from todays newsletter: * Neutral/Blue players are innocent (well, as innocent as they get) and it’s not ok for you to damage them. You may not steal from them, or cast suspicious spells on them either. Nor poison them. If you do so, you become Allowed/Grey. Kill enough of them and you will eventually be flagged as a Murderer/Red. * Allowed/Gray players have behaved badly in some way against you or someone else in the last few minutes, meaning you can attack them without becoming Grey for everybody else. But remember, if you attack them first, they have the right to attack you back! (Meaning they see you as Grey.) * Murderers/Red players have committed several murders, and you better look out for them. You can attack them without turning Grey for everybody else, but if you attack first, they have the right to attack you back! (Meaning they see you as Grey.) And: # Cities and villages may have guard zones, where it’s possible to call for the guards to capture or kill any Grey or Red player, if they’re not already doing so. # Certain merchants may choose not to trade with Grey or Red players. # Players of every color may take the opportunity to attack Grey or Red players, as they can do so without getting “Grey for all” themselves. # Red players may loose stats if they resurrect too soon after being killed. Also, most healers will simply refuse to resurrect murderers. http://www.mortalonline.com/files/fl...O_Flagging.pdf Last edited by Sinnes; 11-20-2008 at 05:09 PM.. |

+1 Internets | God, I pleaded with the people involved with the rulesets for the North American Lineage 2 game to have that very ruleset. That would have completely changed the dynamic of PvP in that game, and made it possible to deal with the Korean Farmers. Oh well..... |

| Carbon copy of old UO style, nothing better. I do like that they are making certain things a bit more intuitive though, like items actually highlighting the notoriety color instead of having to rely on the color of the corpse which was deceptive at times. |

Anyone remember getting excited about EQ2's textures? All I know is I would have loved to play the original EQ2 before they revamped the gameplay and textures just before it went into beta. Check that lighting out. Insane. The video focuses on pre-nerf Befallen. How they went from this to the shitpile that was released I have no idea.
