| Urp. I hope they fix the camera lens focal length. It's currently a wide angle lens so you get that weird circular distortion. Other FPS games have had it to some degree, so nauseating. When I look at reality it doesn't look like it is on the inside of a sphere. Human eyes are closer to 50mm lens it's only early-beta alpha. potential. penis on char select. brown. etc. |

| This game is absolute dogshit at this point, and always will be. For those that say the scenery is "awesome" need to have your fucking heads examined. Mark my words, come release, Darkfall is going to seem like an absolute gem compared to Mortal online. This pre alpha reminds me of Realms of Torment in every way shape and form. Keep wishing sandbox pvp crafter crowd, this is not what you are looking for, time to move on... Just like RoT, Df, and the slew of other shit that has come and gone. If what I've seen in beta this far was from a FnF pre alpha, and the team was only a year into development, I might raise an eyebrow. However, since that is not the case, I feel sorry for anyone who paid to beta test a stripped out ur3 engine, utilizing an old pirated copy of the speedtree sdk. Don't get me started with grome, what a horrible piece of shit that is for getting terrain into your development pipeline. Anyone who defends MO at this point is living in dreamy purple blotter wishville. |

| Well it's not their fault you paid for it. They even told you upfront you would be doing boring shit. Do I have to dig up exactly what they said this beta would involve or can we just stop bitching at a company that honestly sold you lemons and never told you it would be lemonade. The only thing that bothers me at this point is that no word has been made on when they'll move out of this boring phase. Seriously with these poor misconceptions I think 'beta' should've been applied to this list of misapplied words. |

| I thought this was funny as hell from the official forums. Quote:
Come on shrine of Starvault followers, let me have it, I can take it. Why do you guys that get balked out of cash always praise something that looks like it was developed in a basement with two 12 year old wanna be developers, and froth at the mouth when anyone points out some REAL issues with the development of said indie titles? I think its because you are trying to convince yourselves that your crappy decision to build a shrine around your beloved upcoming game was a great thing to do, even though you know better. Paid betas (even though this thing is still in pre alpha) is such a monumentally bad idea, because the developers gather ideas and metrics from crazy fucks who don't have a brain in their heads, or know jack about real development pipeline and goals. This and the smaller indie teams have even more problems, because their QA relies on the same developers/designers who wrote the code, developed the asset, or thought it up in the first place, so in turn they have no objectivity. Then they get uber excited that they figured out how to provide a hit location to a ragdoll model, and jump on every fucking website in existence, and talk about how groundbreaking and exciting their title is. Its the next coming! The fans that they have garnered have no objectivity either, especially when told "We have the greatest product ever, spend some coin! Help us out, get a beta slot!" and some poor bastard who is waiting for the next UO dives in headlong. What I'm saying is, when you are taking, listening, or weighing advice from people that worship nuclear bombs (church of atom) naturally things are going to end up completely jacked/f'd up at the end of your development cycle. So to the original poster, don't listen to ANYTHING these fanbois or the developers have to say... Or do, but don't say you have not been warned. Cheers folks! | |

| its extremely unfinished right now although I've definitely had fun playing it(basically just sneaking around and killing people) so far but it gets old real quick with crashes and random shit and sometimes I'll lag intensely when fighting and my screen just locks and by the time it unfreezes I'm already dead So many basic features are simply non existant and everything seems so scraped together so far the only thing this game has going for it is the graphics which I must say are incredible but aside from that this game has at least another year before it's ready to keep an audience |

Oh well another grandiose scheme of a bunch of unknown, unproven, inexperienced gamers that know nothing about running a business that think they can create what none of the major studios can. It is really about time sometime bumped the record player and got the song moving on beyond the same old skipping crap game after game after game, ad naseum.
