| Some of those trials (Like SWG) only allow you to progress to a certain low level. Others (EQ?) only give access to a tutorial area, and not the main world. Which even if you've never played any MMO's before, you can likely reach in a few hours of play. Gives you the chance I suppose to play multiple classes over those 14 days. |

| I'm shocked Vanguard is beating out lotro. Its funny, when I think about it, I know a few people still playing Vanguard yet no one that plays lotro. Is it just this board and the people I know or is lotro doing that bad? |

+2 Internets | I'll admit, I'm one of the three playing SWG...I cast the third vote. I have quit that game so many times since the NGE, but I can never seem to shake it. This time a friend got me to go back. I won't try to sing it's praises, but I do enjoy the pvp. That's all that's keeping me busy these days. |

| The only surprise to me is LOTOR (yeah I know Lineage/FFXI have a ton more players but not on this site) I expected it to be fighting for second/third. LOTOR had a very positive response here at FoH at release (I certainly played it then) but seems like tons of people (including myself) have dropped away from it. A friend who is currently leveling a toon in LOTRO tells me that he is having a tough time finding groups -- everyone's max.

+44 Internets | "waiting for xyz" is such a hilarious fucking statement to me. I mean, I've seen it all. I've seen "waiting for shadowbane" "waiting for horizons" "waiting for dawn" "waiting for vanguard" "waiting for darkfall" "waiting for Hero's Journey" etc etc. All from people who quit whatever games were out there, then hung around the community gushing about how awesome the next big thing is going to be when obviously they don't really care for the genre. |

| Amazing that WoW was the only game to hold peoples attention for a good amount of time. There was all these potential EQ killers back in the day,and thats the only one that turned out to be the real deal. Last edited by column : 04-03-2008 at 08:46 AM. |
