| I said it before and will say it again: The suicide run through NToV should be an in-game task that everyone should have to do to reach max level. All you needed was a cleric, a necro and a few brass idols. Hands were usually shaking when you made it. I did run a cleric through with no idols though; DB at Aary with a channeled DA with half of NToV on me just past Dagarn. I had enough hps to bind on the mischief entrance pad and die on the spot (thunder blast and a few others), fucking awesome. Of course this was during luclin so I am sure a lvl 80 in SoF gear will be able to walk to the portal, flip off the flurry drakes and click in.

| Pantheon was a very fun zone, The only zone mentioned that I completely don't get is STV (WoW). I hated, hated, hated STV. You're there forever. In my first go at WoW I quit for a month after I hit STV because I was so bored by the quests/leveling there. * * * Minimal apologies for the derail ;-)

+12 Internets | Kithicor Forest. Nothing since then has confused me as badly. Nothing like poking around WC when the Derv camps were full. Next thing you know, you zone into a forest and start solo'ing some random shit. Then a skeleton hits you for fucking 600 when you have 300 hp. |

| EQ: Edit: Timorous Deep - The pot room was <3, bound there and never looked back. Unrest - Good times. Ocean of Tears...spent a lot of time there and it was quiet. Lake of Ill Omen - Used to hang out in the castle once I was ok with the Sarnak faction. Chardok - Nothing like getting the right faction and being able to farm every named without getting killed. Kael/Thurgadin/Skyshrine - I liked the layout of each place a whole hell of a lot. ToV - Every aspect was cool, even just getting there was sweet seeing all the dragons and avoiding them like the plague. Sontalak you bastard. WoW: Not sure I really have a favorite but I do like Azshara the layout and combination of various elements, wish it would have been developed more than just adding a world dragon etc..hoping they do more with it in an expansion. |

| Azshara is a cool zone. I really wish there was a reason to go there other than the Hydraxian rep and the dragon. There should be an instance there or something. Well there is a keep in that zone that isn't opened to anything. |

| Sanctuary in the old tabula rasa was cool, sortof reminded me of how I envisioned the lady's ward in Sigil to be like, or some Elysium city. Veeshan's peak in eq was a great zone. I'm also fond of Annuminas in lord of the rings online. |

Nothing in any game will ever be more "elf-like" to me than Kelethin, almost solely because of the music. I bet 50 years from now with never again logging into EQ1, I could pull that Kelethin midi from memory. Unrest was definitely one my favorite dungeons just because it was just creepy as hell in there, and the trains were awesome, and fuck all of you who think otherwise . Seeing those front doors open right after the Train to zone! shout came was like a fucking highway 20 car pileup...oh no, you didn't want to look, you wanted to zone out, but you couldn't help yourself just to see how good of a train it was--when Garanel and a few hags made it into the train, you knew it was a good one. I usually died shortly thereafter, and the true feeling of being KoS as a dark elf or iksar was like a shot of adrenaline when you were in a dangerous area, ah well.WoW was probably BRM--first time I went in there and saw the huge rock being held by the dwarf statues holding the chains, it was very memorable to me.

I actually spent even more time trying to find my way to the mistress camp where the neriad shawl dropped. I used an exploit to solo camp it with my bard where you could jump up out of the water and run against a wall so you could kill shit without getting touched.

| Hmm. Explored nearly all of Dragon Necropolis with one group - probably the most fun I had in EQ. Completely empty zone, no hope for help, traps everywhere, respawns, roamers... Raiding, I'm sort of stuck on Velious. Training half of the field of fire around in POP was fun, and oldschool CT / vox / Inno /etc were great, but I really enjoyed clearing to AoW & King, Sleeper's Tomb & the old nerf stick zone. Sol B - cuz I just spent so much damn time there. Sebelis - Same reason. WoW ... Maraudon and Dire Maul were my favorites pre-expansion, including all the endgame raid content. Just gorgeous zones, and lots of variety inside them. Raiding, I really enjoyed BWL - clearing the entire thing in a night in a linear fashion was nice, didn't have the old "Do we do Ouro or C'thun" (which later became "Which wing now?" in nAxx) - Feral |
