+42 Internets | WLK will give closure to War3 and WC3:Frozen Throne. I think most of the books ends at the same period, so what comes after that is anyone's guess. Maybe they'll just keep bringing Arthas/Illidan back over and over like Everquest1/2 and its five or six different Mayong encounters! |

Definitely drives me nuts that they haven't brought closure to a single storyline (Vhalen tells you "Opal!") since the start. Now it appears that the Planes of Power and Influence are just one of many pantheons! Here comes the Planes of Chaos/Void and 600 new plot holes. I understand that MMO's want Devs that can both code and write fiction. That's important, they can write some arcs, but they *can't* write the metastory without looking like absolute retards. It'd be like asking an English major to balance your classes. FFS invest in a real storyteller, not some emo programmer that thinks Tolkien ,Eddings, Cthulu, et al are the end all be all of fiction. They need to have at least *some* original thoughts running around in that head of theirs. WoW has the resources to take that next step, I hope they succeed where every other MMO has failed: Story.

+6 Internets | Meh, wow is actually 'progressing' in terms of story. Vashj, dead. Kael, defeated in TK, dead in Magisters. Illidan, dead. All previous content bosses are 'dead to adventurers'. I think they're doing their best to advance a story that has to be reconsiled with the fact you come back on Tuesday and Illidan's alive again. |

+5 Internets | Mudflation: it is required (in moderation obviously), or nobody will care about the new content. If Black Temple had T1 loot, nobody would ever do it except for .0001% of masochists. Cool Clickies in WoW: will never happen, play another game if you want them. Every past item that has shown any semblance of usefulness past it's level or progression range has been been nerfed into uselessness. See: BWL trinkets, that judgement hammer thing people used in WSG, 80% of engineering items, etc. Size of numbers on stats: meaningless without context. Neither smaller nor bigger numbers are inherently better. In D+D end-game you can get a +5 sword. In Final Fantasy end-game you can get a sword that hit for 1000 damage. So Final Fantasy was an unpopular niche game because people are afraid of adding big numbers right? non-trivial items that are good for more than 1 WoW expansion, just like EQ: will never happen, play another game. See clickies above, and see the TBC redesign of stats to be on a rating-system (haste rating, crit rating, etc). Not only will the ilvl system ensure a gear reset every expansion, but the rating-system ensures that the same piece gear gets effectively worse when you gain a level in WOTLK. buffing old bosses: I don't see a problem with it. Players gain levels, but somehow it is unrealistic that mobs do? Entire zone revamps are encouraged imho. The EQ Chardok and Cazic-Thule revamps show it can work well. Really, Blizzard itemization is pretty horrible and the fact they think expansion = gear wipe testifies to this pretty loudly. My capped iLevel TBC purples will be invalid 4 levels into the next expansion against BOE greens I get from farting on an ice parrot in whatever stupid frozen zone I happen to be standing, and that is just plain bad design. I do think the ilevel thing was a pretty clever approach on paper, they just made too big of jumps in it with screwy stat-budgeting logic and now they're stuck with the trend they've set moving forward where gear scales into some pretty insane numbers fairly quickly. A lot of classes took T3 up into Kara, if you think all your capped iLvl gear is gone by 74, I have to wonder if you played TBC at all.

+6 Internets | Well gear is also simply manditory to play too. We've farmed BT forever now, and we executed a perfect kill on Brutallus, and still hit the enrage timer. The gear requirement is an absolute. If you don't provide ways for people to 'keep up' then this turns into an EQ game where you're pretty much forced to farm ancient content to progress. Whether or not you think this a good or bad thing is irrelevant, its how blizzard wants their game designed. I for one welcome our new T6 geared twinks. |

+9 Internets | I really wish I could find people to help me farm Time-Lost Figurine - Items - World of Warcraft. Same concept, only better. |

+21 Internets | Old content can be revived but just taking the bosses and arena match them. I don't want to sit through 30 mins of pulls to take down the first boss in MC. So either jump in the arena and bust out 2 bosses at the same time or buff them accordingly for the respective gear of the raid.
